keen on latex, but we also knew that latex can be very heavy to move. We purchased the Monaco mattress in a king size, but because it comes as 2 long single mattresses which are placed inside a king size exterior mattress cover, it works really well. Each person can change the sequencing of the layers within each long single mattress, the mattresses sit nicely together inside the king mattress cover, and my wife and I haven't noticed any joins etc under the mattress cover whilst sleeping.

With our current configuration/sequencing of the layers, the bed is very comfortable to sleep on and partner disturbance is minimal in comparison to an inner spring type mattress. We have only had the mattress for approximately 4 weeks, but we are very happy with it thus far.

We have a spare bedroom king single with a very firm mattress, we are likely to replace it with a Latex Bedding Company king single.

The latex mattress (with the bamboo cover and bamboo sheets) seems to allow any heat trapped, to release. And the Madrid is firm enough for me (and I like quite a firm mattress). We visited local innerspring/memory foam and latex stores in Melbourne to compare and were very positively surprised with the health advantages and feel of natural latex. We furthered our research on the internet and found a few retailers around Australia, one that stood out after placing enquiries and chatting was Latexbeddingco in Sydney. They have a superior product made in Belgium, can change the support level as years go by and it cost less than buying a latex mattress in Melbourne even with the cartage from Sydney (the local mark ups for mattresses on average are horrendous) I am very happy with our new mattress and my wife especially is over the moon, she describes our new mattress as her heaven. way). Within the first week, I knew the bed had something wrong with it. I woke up sweating (in Autumn) and with massive pain in my back which I had never experienced up until then. After checking out the reviews on ProductReview (yes, too late), I saw that others were having the same problems. As I investigated further, I realised that many of these several thousand dollar mattresses are "designed" for marketing purposes only. A little bit of foam here, a little bit of gel topping there. No one from the company actually tests the design nor does any sleeping on them - they just rely on marketing to drive their sales. They can brush-off any bad feedback by just changing the model name so the online reviews are effectively buried. Release a new model, a new Frankenstein assembly of foams, springs and gel layers and the cycle can continue.

It was a complete surprise to me that a several thousand dollar mattress had absolutely no thought put in for actual sleeping comfort. Understanding this, I went back to the retailer and asked them for a refund shortly after my purchase. As you can imagine, the store manager gave me a million-yard stare and the ol' "It'll take time to get used to" line. I was dismissed and told to go back and try the mattress for longer. Long story short, it didn't get better. Here I was lumped with an expensive, horrible mattress and when I went back some weeks later to the store on their advice, they didn't want to have anything to do with me ("You want a refund after sleeping on it for 60 days?? Ha!").

In an effort to limit my losses (and my pain), I started cautiously looking for an alternative mattress. There were lots of options available but which one was worth the risk? I had a work colleague recommend the Latex Bedding Co "Euro" mattress. I checked out the reviews on ProductReview and it looked promising. BUT, I thought, my last bed was a latex, so why should this be any better? Well, thankfully the salesperson (I am pretty sure it was Dave or Cliff, even back then) seemed honest and patient and was happy to explain all the differences. Aside from having no sense of sales pressure, you could tell they knew their product and stood by it. One important point they raised is that they don't use gimmicky gels and cheap foams which quickly degrade and cause the back-pain I was having. From them addressing all of these points, I bit the bullet and bought the Euro mattress along with their adjustable slat base. It was perfect from the first sleep and has been up until now.

Over the last 8 or so years, my partner and I have been enjoying many nights of wonderful sleep. More recently, however, I started to get a bit restless. Even though I used the adjustable notches in the base to support my back, I felt I wasn't getting the same support as I once was. Eight years is a decent run for any mattress, I thought, so I started to look into getting a new one. In my search, I noted that the Latex Bedding Co. gave a 10 year warranty on their mattresses, so I decided to give them a call to see if they could help in some way.

I thought I was going to get the shrug-off coming back after 8 years but sure enough from the get-go, Dave was more than receptive and happy to help out. After hearing me out, he suggested that I might be able to log a warranty claim if I provided him with some specs. According to their warranty, they guarantee that the mattress will not have more than an 11mm impression through a 10-year period. It seems in my case that the impression was slightly more than this and Dave was more than happy to arrange a replacement. There was absolutely no fuss and no friction during the process. Even when I mentioned that I couldn't immediately find my invoice, this was not an issue.

Within a few days, Dave sorted out delivery and I'm now back on the new mattress replacement, enjoying the blissful sleep I remember. The whole experience has exceeded my expectations and raised my bar about how a bedding company should be operated.

If you are looking for a mattress that is excellent and a business that will truly stand behind their product, this is the company you are looking for. I'm not sure what more you can ask for than having a great bed for 10 years and the service to back it up. From my experience, I can tell you that their 5-star reviews are well-deserved.

within a week. Product is not natural at all, but made using chemicals. It is a latex foam, which contains polyurethane, a known carcinogen. (Amongst several other chemicals).

What shocks me is that a site like this looks perfect for chemicals sensitive people like myself, asthma sufferers and people with allergies, and sites like that are rare. It is not. I don't even recognize some of the "awards" it has won. How can you win an award for innovation for making latex foam products.

I contacted the supplier (Revor) in Belgium to confirm the type of latex that is used at the Latex Bedding Company, and they directed me to the Malaysian supplier. They then told me that the mattress I was about to purchase from Crows Nest, "the Euro" was actually synthetic latex.

I asked [name removed] why he didn't mention this from the start, and his reply was that "it confuses people".

After being quoted around double the price for their 'actual' 100% natural latex mattress, the "Perfect", I found the Natural Bedding company in Stanmore, which sells 100% natural latex mattresses made from the tree sap, and they have proof of their relationship with their rubber tree plantation suppliers in Sri Lanka. Their prices ended up being substantially cheaper, when comparing like with like.

Unfortunately, my wife and I purchased the "Madrid" mattress 4 years ago from the Latex Bedding Company, but I hadn't done the research that I did this time, and was not advised that the latex in our mattress was not actually 100% natural. Back then, I didn't know that a way to easily determine if your mattress is not 100% natural latex, is if it does not require a slatted base. This is true even if the mattress has ventilation holes (which they all do anyway).

I am not rating this business as 'bad' as [name removed] is a very friendly guy. However, I am disappointed that he left crucial information out when telling me about the mattress, and I would say that it's misleading not to advise potential customers that they may not be getting 100% natural latex.

In summary: Ensure that you are fully informed and that you ask the right questions!

to the site of original purchase and bought the latex topper with the bamboo cover. Purchase was easy, product arrived promptly and in perfect condition. On arrival I was very happy with the quality of the latex topper and the bamboo topper cover. The bamboo cover is not like a normal polyester cover, it is thick and soft and so comfortable. The combination of both the latex topper and the bamboo cover makes for very comfortable sleeping. Soft and supporting, gently on the joints and make sound sleeping now achievable. I was worried that the bamboo topper cover would make it too hot but even in the heat of summer it has remained very comfortable. You would be silly to not look closely at this product. All my beds now have latex toppers and the family are all now good sleepers. Even the dogs now want to stay on the bed, looks like I'll be buying them toppers as well.

Why you should believe me: I'm an engineer and I research what I put in my home extensively. No product is perfect but after literally 12+ hours of research I chose to buy this mattress, even over much more expensive options.

The Details: - I bought the Euro Queen size mattress - The store in crows nest was pleasant and tidy. The Staff were really helpful and not at all pushy. Dave in particular has been great. My partner and I could just lay down on the beds and chill out for probably an hour all up. - The range is pretty straight forward, they're latex mattresses in various sizes and firmness levels - I am extremely satisfied with the mattress. It's heavy and breathable and gives me exactly the amount of support that I like. My partner has back issues, made worse by my previous mattress, but with this their back pains have been much lessened. - The mattress itself comes in two slices, a main thicker slab of latex, and a thinner topper also of latex, for a total of (I think) 21cm thickness. Each slice is individually covered with a washable protective sleeve. The whole mattress is also encased by a thick bamboo mattress cover. - Our dog pee'd on the bed the other day and after washing the bamboo cover on low temp and air drying it, its as good as new. Would recommend a waterproof protector to go on top if you have a kid or a non toilet trained puppy - The mattress was delivered by truck in a massive cardboard box and with a big plastic bag around the mattress itself. It's damn heavy so once you've got it on the bed, you wont want to move it after that. Delivery took a bit over a week from memory, which was a 3 or 4 days longer than they said it would take. - The followup from Dave has been excellent, when I have had questions, such as whether I can wash the cover in my washing machine, he has been more than happy to help. - Overall, I absolutely would buy this again when I need another bed in a decade or two.

20 years old and overdue for a replacement. It was a foam/Memory foam/latex combo which always slept a bit hot and the last few years the foam has lost its shape, it’s still in the guest room though as it’s still comfortable. I spend a few long days trying out beds and found a few that were just ok and quite expensive. My research had me intrigued on what a full latex bed would be like so I made the trek down to sydney and first stop was latexbeddingco. Dave was for me the perfect salesman, he told me all about his products and answered quite honestly and sometimes even with some support for similar products of his competitors. I was welcomed to spend as much time laying on the different mattresses. He explained all their features well without pushing me toward one mattress. Now I love getting the best product but it seemed I found the cheapest Euro model the most comfortable, to that he replied “well that is the one you should buy”. I pushed him to tell me why the others were worth more, he explained their features that warranted their extra cost but was quite honest to say they were all quality mattresses and if I didn’t find the extra features beneficial then I shouldn’t pay for them - brilliant! So my mind was pretty made up but I did my due diligence and went to some other latex bed shops close by. Again my choice of going latex was confirmed by these shops but their mattresses felt no better but were significantly more expensive. I ordered a king sized Euro a few weeks later and it was only a few weeks out from Christmas. Dave promised me it would be delivered before Christmas, well there was issues with delivery so next thing Dave has driven up past Newcastle to deliver and install the bed and awesome slatted base himself - even more brilliant! So our base is the motorised one that moves independently on both sides but we wanted a solid king as my wife didn’t want to fall into the gap we had experienced testing other mattresses. Well something lost in communication and we had been delivered 2 king singles, which is the most common order to go with the base. A quick call and this time Cliff answered, very apologetic and assured everything would be made right. Was close to xmas so we both agreed we would try the mattress as it was and if we didn’t like it to call early in the new year. I was happy with this as it gave us a chance to see if the separates would work. They nearly did, much better than others we had tried but my wife thought it would be more comfortable as one unit. So a call back to Dave and no worries a new king cover was sent out. Here’s a beautiful thing about the king size, the latex parts are in 2x king single configuration with one king cover over the whole lot. This makes moving the mattress an easy option if needed. With the king cover on its perfect. The 2 sides come together Imperceivably.

I was so happy I told Dave I’d be giving his mattress and service a glowing review right away but things got busy and I’m now writing it after over 2 months. This mattress is amazing. - I’m a hot sleeper - not any more, it’s the coolest mattress I’ve ever slept on - it is so comfortable and supportive. It’s not soft and not hard it’s just perfect. I am around 100kg and my wife is 44kg and we both love it. The only negative is it makes us late to work as we find it hard to leave! - don’t be duped by these “no partner disturbance” beds, I’ve worked out that they are the ones that are hot ans don’t allow you to move into natural sleeping positions. This bed has just a tiny bit of bounce in it, what this means in effect is that it moves with you not against you. It’s hard to explain but suffice to say I’m sleeping better than I ever have in my life and with significantly less snoring. This bed will be with us for the next 20+ years I am sure of it and I am pretty sure that if we do have any issues that Dave and Cliff will be there to try and address them. My poor mother has been battling with a $3000 bed she bought a year ago ans ive told her to cut her losses and buy one of these. She has spent a few nights in ours and agrees. I love a good honest product and a good honest business and latexbeddingco pass without exception. I hope my overly verbose review translates into many more sales for these guys and hope their prices stay reasonable so more people can experience the sleep we are now enjoying. Thank you Dave and Cliff you have made our sleep blissful.

A gamechanger – We purchased a latex topper for a king single mattress which was too firm, the difference is amazing, it’s gone from a very firm uncomfortable mattress to a great feeling comfortable one.
