Terrible – I wish I had read this webiste about the LG vacuum cleaners, do not buy this product, put the money towards a Dyson. I paid $550.00 to the bloody thing only now to be sitting in my spare room collecting dust. The one and only thing I liked about this product was the on/off controls are on the handle so no walking back to the base to switch on and off. Where do I start, firstly I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy. It just does not pick up, it has a power spinning head thing and when you stop all the stuff that has been picked up falls back out and back onto the floor, you are then forced to re-vacuum again. I attempted to call LG to ask if I could just buy a normall head to fit into the vacuum but they siad noo it only came with the power head, I then found a normal head on ebay to fit the model, but still was not happy with the vacuum. I had a Dyson and thought I would try the LG, a big mistake. I purchased in July 2010 and Dec 2010 I have now gone and purchased a Dyson again and love it.
Absolute junk – This was bought to replace a Numatic "Henry" which was a simple bag type vacuum cleaner. This LG reflected all the newer shape models around, Dyson copies, and was as expensive as any. It had absolutely pathetic suction right from the start, required constant cleaning of the numerous filters and the power control on the handle was unreliable. I cannot comment on Dyson or others, but their claim to fame is mostly filtering the air the expel back so hypo-allergic sensitive people don't suffer. We are not under this curse and prefer a cleaner we can use, works well, clean the one bag when necessary and put back in the cupboard.
My last comment would be that such an item would usually last for a reasonable amount of time, which it may well of done, but after 8 months we have replaced it (gone to another henry). A basic item like this should not be such of an issue.
Expensive, poor pickup, high maintenance
Exceeded expectations – Machine comes with two heads, upholstery tool, and crevice tool. Longest cord ever! Controls on the handle, and HEPA filter works a treat. Like anything, it requires upkeep, so detailed instructions show how to clean turbine head, pre and post motor filters. This has to be done regularly to maintain suction. Picks up more than my old Dyson, and I also compared it to the Miele cat and dog. A Winner! Effective, Efficient, quiet, long cord. Lots of accessories. Requires regular cleaning. if you don't upkeep it, it will fail.
