Fantastic viewing - clear viewing and good quality – Bought this a few months ago - it is such a great TV. Clear viewing with high definition colours and crisp clear sound. Yes it is a bit expensive but definitely worth it. The quality is amazing I can't tell you how good the picture quality is - so clear. Great for movie buffs - we use it in our Media room. Picture quality and sound Slightly expensive
Fantastic Quality – We bought this as a second TV and now is our favorite TV... in fact we moved it to the living room. The quality is simply amazing, very very clear. For sure it wasn't cheap but this is one of those TV you don't need to upgrade in a long time. Can't be happier. Easy to use, amazing quality. Not cheap... Show reply

This tv is big/huge and blows everyone away when they watch afl grand finals at my house every year..
You do not see 2nd hand 71said tvs on the market as people would just keep repairing them and im in geelong..
The people who complained about the lg tv warrantys when i purchased my tv i contacted lg who put me in touch with their registered warranty repairer ( this tv repair shop has been in geelong for 25yrs mind you ),said to register with them and any tv problems take tv in or they come around for a house visit as tv is to big to transport and they log the warranty into lg.. All done.. Cannot go wrong doing it this way..
My brother has just purchased last march the latest panasonic viera 65 inch full hd plasma with all the bells and whistles $2250 and my picture is still better than his on my rear pro 71said lcos.
I actually did my home work on this tv over 12mths or so waited for the eventual run out sales (these sales always happen boxing day week & the last 2 weeks in march and are the only times to buy a tv not the harvey norman 4 day crap sales that must end mon that always rip you off.. )
Lcos was great technoligy when it came out..and still is..
Blue ray movies are abosolutly awsum...running with a yamaha 7.2 tuner yamaha speakers...
Mainly watch sport / movies and some tv shows or the kids cartoons..
Not on every day Absolutly everything, reliable, inexpensive, energy efficient, run out sale price. Nothing! Other people get conned when they don’t do their homework when purchasing a tv..
4 years later and I still can't beat it! – I don't think I have ever made such a clever purchase in my life? People constantly ask me how on Earth I managed to afford a 71Inch FULL HD TV?? You know, I reckon I could sell this baby today for a PROFIT (YES - A PROFIT 4 YEARS LATER)!! The problem is, I don't want to. I simply can't replace it with anything I would be happy with.. … Read more
Woo Hoo 10 points for me - An Aussie Battler with a small victory in a world where it is so hard to get ahead :D Price, FULL HD @ 71INCH with a clear picture - You CAN'T BUY ANYTHING ON THE MARKET TODAY THIS CHEAP To COMPETE WITH IT - LOL @ Society!! Hehe Not a damn thing (and I DON'T work for LG)
Good – Again for the dollars and for such a large tv, I can't complain. People complain about the back light but thats not too bad, use the ACE function. For those who have them, shut them off always on standby first which allows the cooling fans to cool the globe first for at least 5 minutes, then if you want you can shut it off at the mains power… Read more
completely (button under the front right hand corner). Do not shut the television off at the button first or at the mains power otherwise this will do damage to the globe. What I like is its Value for money, A good High def tv for under $4000 Aus, maybe they were trying to get rid of this model because I know a few that have bought them for around the $3,500 bracket. I can't complain much, as expected its a rear projection tv with a bit of a butt on it. It would be OK if you could program the true surround to only work on a selected input, not all ones selected, also since it has so many inputs it would have been good to have a window you could bring up where you can slide up and down and select the input required instead of having to press the input button on the hand control half a dozen times, which is a bit of a pain.
Excellent – Bought second hand off eBay with faulty power supply. Unit would not start or would turn off after 30 minutes. Fault was bad soldering in power supply. Has now been running for 3 days without fault. Good picture. Cheap(ish) lamp prices. Good layout on remote. HDMI input works well with laptop. LG quality? Show reply
