Get what you pay for, or less! – I bought this unit in Nov 2010 and it has just started cutting out or losing picture quality after 15months. Out of warranty so LG wont fix it. I will never buy LG again,I will pay more for a better brand. But if you decide to buy LG then make sure you take out extended warranty. We bought an LG microwave that had problems while still in warranty and it was fixed promptly with no fuss, but there was no grace period for us with the DVD player. It was cheap, well cheaper than a Panasonic. $225.00 for 15months of operation. Poor quality, unreliable. Difficult to operate.

Wouldn't buy it again – I wouldn't buy it again. we are now on our third machine. Luckily we purchased extended warranty, both times it has stopped working just after the 12 month LG warranty is up. luckily both times the extended warranty has replaced it without question, unfortunately with same machine. When it is working it is OK. stops working after 12 months

cheap and short lived – After about 12 month my unit's probs started. 1st it wouldn't initialise discs, then it wouldn't read discs, now the tray opens and closes only briefly and only occasionally. Tried cleaning the lens several times using cleaning discs and doing it manually with the unit opened up. Doesn't make any difference. The picture quality was was only ever average on both Tv and DVD. Into the bin after 18 months. I'll never buy LG again. cheap poor quality

Excellent – Overall this product gives a good show for the cost. After looking at all the different brands and prices, this LG unit impressed me in the bang for buck department. It really is simple to use, no complex control units. with the price of DVD's these days lets you record till your heart is content.... Great product, very easy to use and produces great outcomes Havent found any yet.....
