Trouble free – Fantastic Fridge purchased second hand in 2010 still running strong and economical. Nothing broken but seals are starting to wear. I would recommend this fridge. my next one will be LG. Show details ·  1

Excellent fridge 17yrs old and still going – I’ve had this fridge since 2003. It has worked perfectly since. The plastic parts did turn a bit yellow a couple of years ago but apart from that it’s still running great. Although I think it might be on its last legs now because it has started to make some weird noises. But for a fridge that’s 17yrs old these days I can NOT fault it. Show details ·  1

Terrible – This fridge has rusted on the outside after approx 1 yr of normal use... the plastic on the bottom of the door has broken off at the edge in about a 5 cm piece .. horrible... the cooling and freezing of this fridge was great... but I'm afraid to sit in pride of place in kitchen it looks horrible!  Show details

Excellent fridge freezer for medium to small family – Quiet fridge and cost efficient. Quick freezing function, door alarm and great design. Better for a small to medium size family. Shelving is excellent with plenty of room on the door. I like the freezer compartment wit the different drawers to keep items separate. Also has an ice cube tray which is great to keep separate from your frozen groceries.  Show details

Great! – Excellent fridge, made to last! It is quiet, but sometimes you can hear strange voices coming from your fridge during automatic defrosting (Ghostbusters style)... Unless you sleep in the kitches it won't bother you! The size is ideal for a family of 4 (max.) in my opinion. No problems so far!  Show details

A most reliable fridge from LG – :-) What a terrific little fridge this has been, that is until recently, when a power surge (unrelated to the fridge) caused it to malfunction. It's well over 10 yrs old now and in summary:

• a well designed, quiet and practical, top mount fridge

• low maintenance - frost free & easy to clean

• maintains a consistent temperature with easy to use temp controls and special economy features

• has flexible, well arranged shelving with assorted compartments, plus a large over-sized bottom freezer

• the perfect size for a small kitchen or small space

• very suitable for a single person or couple

• was purchased at a very reasonable price (on SALE)

As I mentioned, a power surge caused an internal mechanism to fail and sadly, if it can't be repaired I may have to replace it. :-(

I love this fridge and am not sure I'll be able to find anything as reliable or as good a value, with all the features this one has. I'm sorry to find that LG has discontinued the model as I can't rate it highly enough!

which I really like. It has a vacation feature to save power when you go away and the quick freeze button is also really handy, as another reviewer has mentioned. I use a digital temperature gauge to monitor my fridge temp and I've found the temperature to be very consistent and even throughout the fridge/freezer. Have never had a problem with things freezing in the fridge compartment or icing up in the freezer (I run it on the '4' setting, as I like my beer nice and cold). Well designed, looks good. Running as new after more than 10 years.

Not that great – It looks good, and it's great that the fridge is on the top part - less bending down, but the plastic-ware inside the fridge is really cheap, and the lining is super thin. you try to open and close them, and then they tear through the super thin lining. Not very many people do repairs, parts can be hard to get. And I think they're designed to last about five years. Cool feature is the quick freeze button - great for ice-cream straight from the supermarket etc. Looks good, fridge on top, fast-freeze button. Pretty good price. Plastic-ware, freezer drawers. Hard to get repaired. Short life-time.

Great, quiet, easy to clean fridge – We have had this fridge for four years now and it has kept everything cold and fresh. I have only had to defrost it once in that time. I love the vacation energy saving feature. It has changeable doors which has been very useful as we have had to change our kitchen around during renovations. A quiet no fuss fridge I am happy to recommend. Quiet, easy to clean, energy efficient vacation feature.

good for a couple or a single. Design - love the upside down fridge design. Glass shelves - easier to clean and spills don't go all the way through. Easy to change shelving levels. Great big tray for keeping icecube trays in. Very practical. Very reasonable price too. Nothing, though if I leave high water content fruit/vegetables (eg melon, tomatoes)on the bottom shelf it sometimes causes them to freeze. Leaving them in the crisper though is fine. When I touch the side in summer it feels hotter than any fridge I've had before, but LG say it is not a problem, and it certainly hasn't been.

Terrible – Terrible!!!! lg promised to upgrade us for the trouble caused but then stopped returning our calls crap service from a crap brand the first TWO fridges we bought from harvey norman failed to operate when unpacked. shocking service from lg. Never buy lg, you will regret it
