Great 3D Bluray playback and DTS HD Master sound support – I agree that many people find the menus and driving this machine to be slow. I have too with HDD copying of files and the way it names files. But the machine is a great 3D Bluray player and the support of DTS HS Master sound support is just so good it would be worth mentioning that, especially if you are thinking of getting one 2nd hand. menus and O/S are a bit clunky but I don't really use it as a HDD recorder that much and as long as you program it correctly, it does work quite well.
This blueray recorder is lg 536d serial no 120960147 total rubbish – Pink screen at times, try to record tells me no h/drive, timer record gets to the start time turns off
LG HR536D - disappointing – i agree with all written so far; it is very slow to respond to RW & FF commands, it switches itself between TV and DVD when it starts or stops recording, interrupting our viewing on another channel, and is generally clunky. Now it has wiped the hard disk; it has wiped the list of recorded TV programs & i can't find them even though it continues to… Read more
tell me that the hard drive is 202 GB full out of the total 250 GB. i've tried everything to try to find these lost programs including turning off-on. How can i find them please? easy set-up with LG TV clunky, wiped the hard drive, slowto RW & FF
Very disappointed with this Recorder – Having had an LG Standard Definition Recorder for a considerable time, I decided to upgrade to a High Definition Recorder. In comparison with my Standard Recorder, the HD is a complete disappointment for the following reasons:- 1.The Recorder is slow to load on to the TV. 2. Timer recording is far more awkward to set. 3. I hate the new method… Read more
of displaying recorded titles.
4.The method of deleting recorded titles is far more complicated.
5.Unlike the Standard Recorder, a recorded program cannot be divided. Like all LG products, it was easy to "setup" As outlined above
worst recorder ever – clunky slow. impossible to work out. everything is over complicated. does not save last viewed recordings place. everything you'd want it does not have slow, bad interface. poor instruction manual
Slow and constantly freezing – This hard drive is slow to load, freezes even when just playing a standard DVD or recording, the timer recording doesn't allow you to specify when you want it to record to leaving me to resort to taping the next show so i can watch the end of the ones I want. Mine is only 5 months old and I have had to take it back because the harddrive says it is… Read more
full even though I have deleted everything on it. The tv guide is poorly displayed and only displays the programs after I select each individual channel.
Do not buy this slow and unresponsive excuse for a harddrive.
Everything, especially the fact I couldn't just take it back to where I got it, I had to deal with lg direct a huge pain!!!!!
LG?? More accurate to say LB with this model! – Unacceptably slow to respond to FF and REW commands. Long, frustrating delays waiting to return to play. Controls sometimes freeze requiring turn off to reboot. Inadequate instructions manual. Lacks simple yet expected refinement of pause during recording. During playback on HD Mode unable to skip to previous/next sector within the recorded movie… Read more
(only REW or FF available). Occasionally sound does not synchro with picture. Tiresome TV program requires channel to be selected before being able to read contents of program. Does not have "screen saver" mode if accidentally left on pause. In general, this unit does not perform to reasonable expectations of an LG product and should be recalled and refunded. I do not recommend this product and will be wary of purchasing or recommending another LG product. Slim, compact. Very poor performance standards.
