Keeps breaking down $350 to fix it each time – I think the machine works fine when it is working. But, it only lasted 5 years before we had to pay $350 for a new motherboard. It only worked for another 2 years before the same problem occurred. Now I am faced with paying another $350 or cutting my losses and buying another brand. Stay away from LG dishwashers.

Unreliable slow and doesn't wash well – The machine does a poor job of cleaning, I often have to wash by hand after the dishwasher as so as the warranty expired things stated breaking such as the door dampers and control buttons. The one good thing is that it is reasonably quiet. The really good thing is that it has been replaced with a Bosch.

My dog could lick my dishes cleaner – I am unsure how LG produce such a pathetic excuse for a dishwasher and an stay in business. We are renting temporarily and our house has this dishwasher. My sister also has an LG dishwasher which is just as bad. There is no point in using it. Unless the dishes are rinsed spotless prior to going into the dishwasher they have to be rewashed every time without fail.

You have to stack in every second space because otherwise the plates are too close together, so of course you can't fit anywhere near the 14 place settings they suggest. There are four of us in our house, two adults and two children under 5 - not babies. The dishwasher has to go on twice a day. I hand wash all cookware, sharp knives and wine glasses, so only dinner plates, cutlery and glasses go in the dishwasher. VERY basic stuff. it simply does NOT cope!

Not a patch on my Asko. Thinking of buying an Asko and putting this one in the garage.

Never dries anything yet still manages to bake on dirt. For best results start with clean dishes

Use it everyday but unsure if I'd buy it again – We bought this dishwasher when we moved into our house and while I've used it everyday, I'm not entirely sure I would buy this model again if we had to replace it tomorrow. Here's the good, the bad and the ugly. The good - a third tray. The tiny flat style tray at the top is perfect for spatulas, long knives and wooden spoons. - The break apart cutlery rack. You can break it in half when you don't need it, a single side will hold cutlery for 6 people easily and everything will clean properly.

- UV and time delay. Nice features, the ECO setting is also fantastic.

- Good on water, power and noise (it also looks alright too).

- You can remove one of the racks at the bottom for the plates to give you a flat surface for pans, pots, etc.

The bad

- Despite the three filters in the unit, we have had the dishwasher error on us twice. In defense of the unit though, the original dishwasher (which was replaced with this) was plumbed on the wrong side of the kitchen. So the unit must work extra hard to push all the water and waste out. This will be fixed when we redo the kitchen. That said, we usually clean off the dishes before they go in.

The ugly

- I was disappointed with was the drying feature. Nothing is dry when its done. Everything must be wiped before being put away.

Look, don't get me wrong, it's a good unit but I think for the money I expected a little bit "robustness". I guess I just had high expectations after having my LG washing machine for years. Good on water, power Not convinced the filtering system works the best

Pros. Looks nice. Ultra violet bacteria killer is great. Quiet. Cons. The shocker!!. Filter system is rubbish. After less than 12 months had to pay $110 to remove pumpkin seed from pump, how the hell is it our fault a large seed gets past their filter system. Lots not dry when finished even using extra power for extra hot rinse. Foodstuffs stuck in spray arm outlets, having to pull out and dig out with toothpick frequently.

Could not recommend this product. Had a 15 year trouble free run with an ASCO but got talked into changeing brands, unfortunatly.

Totally dis-satisfied with LG product. The dishes do not clean well, you cannot fit very much in the lower rack, the lower rack plastic coating split away and is now going rusty, the front handle has cracked (and no we did not pull it too hard LG customer service), the filter is rubbish and we have now had to call out for service for the OE error for the third time. We have had the unit three years and paid for extended warranty (4 years in total). Within the first year something had blocked the pump, how does something get past the filter!!!! The customer service refused to replace cracked handle within the two year period because we must have pulled the handle too hard. It is poor design, I complain for weeks and finally they agreed to replace. Honestly steer clear of the brand for dish washers and knowing how they treated me at customer service I will never buy any LG product.

UPDATE: After having this unit for 3 years it had a complete power failure and had to have all the electronics in the door replaced. It took 3 months to get it back - LG make shiny lemons!
