Only got 4.5 years out of it – This machine was good for about 2 years I hated that it would unbalance washing towels and sheets and tangle hubbys jeans and shirts, love the delay start and washing options but as time goes on it stops measuring loads and washes everything as a extra large load using way more water than u need then tangles everything together so it carnt spin… Read more
and instead of beeping at me to fix the problem it just fills the machine back up with water only to spin 10 mins later... So finally getting a new one after 4.5 years will not get one without an adgatater so going for a Fisher and paykel next time. Only and problems with it twice over the years it did an ok job most of the time. Always unbalance and tied our clothes in a big knot most of the time.
Not very impressed with the LG Machine I bought – Within the first three months the electric panel was replaced and yes it works, with each wash I am readjusting the load as it beeps and then stops and then beeps and stops very irritating, My partner is consistantly complaining that the machine does not wash his clothes properly........the Fisher and Pykel he had which was 10 years old (I made… Read more
him give it away) did a much better job! He has told me that these are no longer made as they were so bad ??? I have to untangle the clothes before I can hang them out....really not impressed with this machine!!! I liked the look of the machine (not a good reason to buy something I know) and no agitator so holds big loads!
Hate it – I was talked into this machine by the salesman, I regret not taking my time to do more research. It uses loads more water than my previous machine, does a poor job washing the clothes, long sleeves & trouser legs become a big tangled mess that throws the machine off balance so it thrashes around the laundry, socks come out stretched. The only… Read more
other option is the wool wash but then you can't wash in cold water & the clothes finish the cycle wetter leading to an increased drying time. The only thing I like about it is the capacity of the drum, but that not much compensation for the wear & tear on my clothes. I agree with the reviewer who commented on the tissue left in a pocket, huge mess.
Terrible – Didn't like from the begining, after 2 years problems with leaking started and now 2 1/2 years later it need to be replaced, water leaks from every hose. Nice looking machine Clothes get tangled, get out of balance easily and then moves and shakes making loud thrashing noises. Clothes come out of the washer totally twisted and need lots of ironing
Excellent – I couldn't recommend a better washer. Is simple to use, the fuzzy logic is amazing how it weighs up the clothes and adjusts the wash size accordingly, it is quiet and spins clothes almost dry. I love everything about my washer and have had it for 3yrs or more. I am 65yrs old and had many washers in my life and this is the best ever!! Makes washing a pleasure. There isn't one thing I dislike about it.
Excellent – lg washing machines are great they ar efficiant, good looking and they leave your clothes looking and smeling great all in all I give it a 9/10 very good looking. a nice change from the old washing machines with the push and pulls nobs. There isnt anything that I dont like. I love everything about my new washer
OK – We bought this machine over the phone (as we live in a rural area), and took the word of the salesman in good faith - our list of requirements included a lightweight, large load, small floor area machine, easy to use and gentle on clothes (as we were replacing our front loader we were used to the gentleness of this). Well we got most of those… Read more
requirements, but now wish we had seen it first. We have solved some of the problems by putting delicates/stretchy clothes into pillow slips and washing bags while washing and have become incredibly diligent at cleaning out pockets and sorting wash loads into fluffy types.
My husband thinks the machine is great, personally if we did not live so far out of the city and transport and space were not an issue I would not choose this machine again and think I would go back to a front loader. Very space efficient (due to turbo drum design), takes an amazingly huge load for the size of the machine. Quiet to run. If you can't be bothered reading instructions you can pick one of 5 types of washes press the button and then start and it does the rest, including weighing load to determine water level. The LCD screen indicating time left etc is also a great bonus. Not very water or energy efficient. Rates low on the gentle on clothes scale (clothes become very tangled and items made of stretchy material can become stretched out of shape). Wash cycles are very long and the delicate or speedy cycles don't seem to wash very effectively. Getting washing powder into the dispenser is a bit awkward and messy and the softener dispenser is also tricky to remove and put back once full of softener (not a good one for arthritic hands). Pausing the machine is also a bit of a drama, as it only stays paused for a few minutes, then the whole machine turns off and you have to muck around trying to work out where you were up to when you re-start it (the instructions haven't enlightened me as to what to do to prevent this). Lastly, don't ever leave a tissue in your pocket or wash a fluffy sheet with your clothes, because it will go through everything.
Good – We needed a large machine that was reasonably water efficient. The Fuzzy Logic Program is great as you just have to press some buttons to get it to wash your clothes. We have found our water usage has dropped dramatically since using this washing machine. We are a family of 6 and have to wash at least once every day so water use was becoming a big… Read more
issue for us. The price was right for what was offered compared to other brands! Have felt that at times it does not get the clothes as clean as it possibly could but perhaps they should have been soaked in the first place.
