Appears still not returning outstanding cash – Got a load and go card some years back thinking it would be a safe way of purchasing items online rather than using my Visa card. The card expired and I contacted Australia Post to see if I could have the $140 left transferred to a new card. I was told they were unable to do it but would send me a money order within 21 days and I could put it… Read more

on a new one. 8 years later I'm still waiting!

I was about to go into Australia Post to try again but after seeing the latest reviews I'll pass. It appears it's still occurring. I wonder who gets the outstanding cash!

Junk, does not work – I would like to start off by saying the old every day MasterCard used to work flawlessly, but since they updated to this new card, it is absolutely junk, it does not work flags everybody as a security risk, I tried paying a speeding fine with fines Victoria it wouldn’t let me do it, I rang customer service spent time with them They sent an email… Read more

to there security department asking that this payment to go through. I receive an email saying that I need to wait 10 to 12 minutes before I can proceed to make a payment, did that tried to make a payment wouldn’t accept it, customer service answer is that it could not capture the security code which means that the master card company has deemed fines Victoria as a security risk are you kidding me, Victorian government site is a security risk absolutely ridiculous. Next I tried to buy a pair of vintage sunglasses from America again went through all this nonsense did not capture the security code which means that the company has been deemed a security risk again rang Customer service went through all the nonsense with them, they send an email to the team requesting the payment go through I receive an email wait 10 to 12 minutes and then proceed with the payment did not work. Customer service can do nothing about it because it’s an automated system. This card is absolute junk, does not work, do not bother, read the reviews everyone seems to be having the same problem, I suspect this card is only good for Amazon which requires a master card, eBay doesn’t, I’ve transferred my money out of the card back into my bank account and I’m about to cancel the card. Junk

clueless and infuriating customer service – Ive had 4 off these cards over the years, generally good ;but, sometimes they stop working.. I used it for online purchases and then it would no longer work online, spoke to their customer service people ,couldn't understand why it was working on 3 occasions, they said they would email me or call me back ,never happened. The concept is great the support lousy. Show details

Love my Load and Go! – I love my Load & Go card. It makes online shopping a breeze! I feel safe knowing that, even if the worse comes to the worst, a hacker can't access my bank account. What's more, I can never overspend! Three cheers for Australia Post for having such a great card. Show reply

This card is near to Useless – I have had this card for years and have had to put up with all the attendant problems. After many successful transactions through Amazon for E/Books, without warning they would not accept this card despite their own records indicating that it was current. Further investigation with Mastercard revealed that they were carrying out a security… Read more

check. Two hours later after being asked many confidential questions they indicated they would approve these E/Book transactions with Amazon. They do not have the courtesy to contact you to advise you of this security check what an absolute waste of time and effort. I do not know if this card is still sold by Australia Post and would advise anyone considering getting one to forget about it unless they want a nervous breakdown.

DO NOT USE THIS CARD – I have had nothing but trouble with the card. I have had purchases blocked for inexplicable reasons, requiring hours on the phone to correct. At the same time purchases I didn't make have slid happily through. Their help desk is incompetent, with accents I struggle to follow, and they kept hanging up on me, their web page seems like it was put together as a primary school project with no way of having purchases investigated.

The Prepaid seem useless too – These seem to be useless. Can't use it for an Australian editorial to pay for an ad. Couldn't use it for dating app subscriptions either. I used to have success with the load and go - a shame they've killed these off.

Still waiting for my money, after 2 months plus – I received an email from the Australia Post to say that my Visa Load&Go Card (a prepaid card) was expiring and would not be renewed, as Australia Post was withdrawing from the sale of the cards. One of the options, that I was given, was to have the balance of my card ($436.30) posted to my home address via money order. I choose that option 17… Read more

April 2020.

About a month later I enquired, via the Australia Post website, about the progress of the money order. My enquiry was not answered, but I was given a phone number to call, 1300 665 054.

When I called this number 22 June 2020 , I was informed that my request to post my balance had been received, but there was no timeframe as to when the money order would be posted.

The person, to whom I spoke, was located overseas. I was not given the name of the person to whom I spoke and I was not given any log number of my enquiry.

Due to the delay in receiving my balance via money order, I now have doubts about doing further business with Australia Post and their new collection of prepaid cards.

Australia Post Everyday Mastercard Australia Post Travel Platinum Mastercard Australia Post Gift Card by Mastercard Cash Passport Platinum Mastercard

I find this very disappointing, because as an Australia citizen and taxpayer, I wish to see Australia Post thrive, so it can continue to serve the Australian people, which it normally does well. However Australia Post has not done well with my prepaid card, and if it is happening to me, I guess others are suffering as well.

Follow up to my last review – I loved my Load&Go card & never had any problems. I was waiting for my new card & went online, only to discover that it was being phased out & as I had a lot of money on it I wasn't too impressed. I rang the 1300 number & got a lady who said that if I didn't produce a BSB number I would lose my money. Next day I rang again 7 got a lovely lady who… Read more

was so helpful & it looks as though my money is in my bank. It's a pity that the card has gone so now I'll have to search for another debit card. I don't like giving credit & banking details so the Load&Go was perfect. I'll miss it. Now they are refusing to let me have my $776.24. Last week I was blocked when I tried to contact the site. Today I received an email telling me that my money won't be returned. Please, if you or your friends have one of these cards, warn them.

It's Cheap, but the price is speed – I transferred money from my bank to the Reloadable Visa Prepaid Card to pay some bills. After 36 hours the money is still not loaded on the card. The card and the charges are cheap compared to others, just don't expect transfers to happen within a day.

Useless product. Did not allow me to check a balance or with cash overseas – The point of this seems to be having a prepaid card that can be used for transactions. I am in europe and have been unable to check a balance or withdraw cash. All i could do was try and track how much could remain on the card via receipts. It works fine in Australia though. Great Product for a Credit Alternative – I love my Load & Go. It's great for when your in a jam credit wise. I'm not a big believer in Credit Cards, I'd rather ASAP. I do a lot of shopping (online) from the US, UK etc and some companies nowadays only accept credit/debit cards. My Load & Go has saved my online bacon many times, it's easy to load and simple to use. The fees can be a little pricey, but for me it's a small price to pay to get what I want! Show details ·  1

One star is too good for this rubbish – Customer service (ha ha) in Asia somewhere says that its the merchants fault that I can not pay my bills with my Visa reloadable. Load N Go. I follow all the on line directions as to how to put funds on my card but my bank wont accept the number. Again the incomprehensible service chap says that its my banks fault. Totally hopeless. AVOID this card. Frustrating, inconvenient and useless.

Load&Go was good - its replacement is a TRAP !! – I've used two or three Load&Go cards over several years - occasional problems, but always able to be resolved. But the Visa card is now not sold by Auspost - instead I was pointed to an Everyday Mastercard when my Load&Go card expired at end of June. After attempting to update (manually) my Toll account and having it fail, I was informed by the… Read more ·  2

Everyday team that this Mastercard cannot be used for tolls, subscriptions, or regular monthly automatic payments. Since one of the major uses I had for my card was to manually top up my Toll account every few months, this new card is USELESS to me, and I will be going back to the PO on Monday for a refund.

Beware anyone else who thinks the Everyday card is a direct replacement for the Visa Load&Go card.

In closing, does anyone know how/where I can buy a new Visa LoadnGo card - even if not from Austpost?

Handy to have but not great – I have had a Load & Go Visa card for a while now and it has been fantastic... but.. Why all of a sudden is the card being selective on when it will work? do not have a credit card. I contacted the site that was rejected and they showed me proof of the card being the issue, not them. The customer service number for Aus post load and go was far from easy to use. I gave up after several attempts - Is it really so hard to ask for a HUMAN to talk to, nothing worse than pressing a whole heap of numbers being shoved from one area to another through an automated service. I don't want to buy another card to see if that is going to work or worse still, discover it too has limited use. I would really like to get this sorted out - with a human if at all possible..
