Good – Overall, I'm happy with this mouse. It feels good, it works pretty well (but then what mouse doesn't, nowadays?), and I really like the smooth and precise feel of the free-scrolling wheel, which definitely makes browsing web pages feel more precise and less time-consuming than before. But there are several quirks and problems with it. All of these quirks are minor and forgivable, but it makes me think that there is probably a better mouse out there on the market. Ultimately, I would recommend this one, especially if you don't play many games, since most of the problems I've had with it relate mainly to games. But if you're really particular about your mouse and want to find the perfect one, keep looking. Has a switch that lets you toggle between two scrollwheel modes: a normal mode where you feel the usual slight clicking as you scroll it, and a free-spinning mode. The free-spinning mode is great, and makes scrolling feel much smoother. This mode also has very little friction, so if you flick it hard enough, it'll keep spinning for 10+ seconds - great for whizzing past many pages of long websites or documents. The scrollwheel is little rickety, no matter which mode it's in, meaning that you can feel it rattle from side to side whenever you mouse faster than usual - not a big problem, but it certainly takes away from the slick feel of it. Also, when the scrollwheel is in free-spinning mode, it can get triggered without you meaning it. For example, when I'm playing a shooter game, the weapon I'm holding often changes by itself because I have inadvertantly scrolled the wheel just by moving the mouse too hard. this means that for things like games, I generally need to switch it to click-click-click mode, even though I prefer the feel of the free-spinning mode. Another thing I dislike is that the mouse doesn't work properly for me if I plug the USB receiver into the back of my PC, even though it's still less than a metre away from my mouse there. It works perfectly when it's plugged into the front of my tower, but I only have two USB slots there and it annoys me that one needs to be taken up by the mouse. Another (very minor) problem with the mouse is that I find the texture of the silicon (?) handgrip on it to feel slightly strange to the touch; it almost feels like it's constantly dirty or dusty, even though it isn't. This may just be me though, and it doesn't really bother me. What does annoy me is that it doesn't come with any software and I can't find a way to reprogram the secondary buttons or switch them off in Windows. This makes these other buttons less useful to me than I'd hoped. It also means that when I'm in a game, I sometimes hit the little "search" button on the left by accident, which shoots me out of the game and back into windows to open up the search window.
