Logitech QuickCam Orbit

Excellent – has been using this webcam for a while now,i got a black LCD, black keyboard all with clear acrylic edges, and this is perfect companion for me. now, the webcam kind of all build into the monitor, but this is still looks good as an individual product. really nice design, bought few years ago, and now, it is still the nicest webcam on the market. really nice concept that can "transforme" the webcam. face tracking. 1.3MP is not really good enough on today's market, the face tracking is not always working, need to upgrade the software more often.

Bad – Please advise me on what format of files this webcam captures video/sound to. I polan to use a webcam to record a lecture and integrate it into video editing software and eventually to a VCD. I can work with .avi (2) formats. Don't have one yet.

Excellent – I have had several webcamsover the years and this is just light years ahead of the rest. Works well in movie mode as well as on Yahoo mesenger as I chat to family overseas a lot. The microphone is the best I have ever used no feedback at all and you dont have to speak loud to let the person on the other end hear you with out background noise. Overall the people that have viewed it and that is what matters have given me positive feedback on the webcam. I to am well and truly happy with the purchase. It is nice to look at and as I have black computer case it blends in well with other items, my wife hasnt noticed it yet also. Seriously it follows ny ugly dial around ok, is not affected by low light as I have it sitting between the computer and the side of the desk. I like the extension stand!!!it is robust and will not knock over easily. The quality of the pictures is fantastic and it doesnt matter in what light. I bought off ebay as they would be out of my price rang otherwise. Sometime my face is not centre in the frame. But easy to recentre. Very pricy if you paid retail for it but as I said I purchased it from ebay for a good price. One thing I would have liked is an online help from Logitech on how to use the cam, I maybe looking in the wrong place but was unable to find one.
