Best – Most easiest pram to maneuver it is so smooth and easy to roll//push. Easy to fold and unfold. It is so sturdy and has lots of undercarriage room. So so hally with this pram. So sad it was discontinued thank goodness i found another second hand one. Ive had the bugaboos and all and this is my no. 1 pick for a pram.
Love this pram, great 3 wheeler – For a 3 wheel pram, the MX3 is light, easy to use and surprisingly maneuverable. It folds in one easy step (no taking the seat off like some other prams). Because it is very lightweight, it is really easy to push and it has a small turning circle. It has great suspension and with the pneumatic wheels it handles bumpy terrain well. It seems to be… Read more
very comfortable - my son looked comfortable from when he was a baby until now (he's 3.5). It is really easy to drop from a sitting position to a fully flat sleeping position. It has a decent sized basket under the seat (as well as two useful pockets on the back of the hood).
We have the bassinet attachment as well which is great for getting around with a newborn. The bassinet is also good for baby to sleep in while you're out and about and even on holidays. light, easy to use, maneuverable
Good – We bought this in early 2008. It suited our then new born really well - smooth ride and lays down flat (we didn't buy the bassinet so luckily no issues with only being forward facing). The height/angle of the hood has meant that it always necessitates the use of a separate sun screen. As three wheelers go it is pretty light and easy to steer - we… Read more
have always had the wheel locked into the fixed position. We go for lots of walks on rough ground and it handles it easily - the suspension seems great. Very bulky and uses up lots of boot/hall space when folded. I have always found it quite akward to fold, but think this is true of most 3 wheel strollers and it is good it remains one unit. Despite the fact it isn't the widest 3 wheeler on the market, it still doesn't fit through some checkouts and I don't even bother going into smaller shops with it. The basket space underneath is very mean and it does tip easily if too many bags on the back.
Easy to take off and wash various trimmings, seat pads etc.
As our child has got bigger the low positioning of the harness has meant that we have to leave the straps off his shoulders. This has been the biggest disappointment of this stroller. Overall it seems very well designed and considered so it is a disappointment that it doesn't quite meet the needs of an older child. Very tough - seems to provide a very smooth ride and easy to steer whatever the terrain. Not so great for older child - shoulder straps are fixed very low down the back of the seat. The highest seated position is also quite slouched. Poor 'storage'. Bulky when folded and doesn't fit through all checkouts!
Excellent – Lighter than many others in its category, it folds up without being on the ground (if you know what I mean... similar to baby jogger i think). There were lots of things included in the box, and we haven't had to buy anything extra for it. The bassinet has been good for the first few months, and we have also used it when away from home for bubs… Read more · 1
to sleep in, and the fact that the bassinet collapses meant that we could put it in the car with everything else for a weekend away (in my hatch, and we took the cat too!).
Now that bubs is more interested in things around her we have changed it over to the stroller style, and this has been good and bad. I have realised that she likes to see me which she can't do with this since its not reversible - but that is probably my only complaint about this pram/stroller, and its not designed to do that anyway. If she lays flat and i open the viewing window in hood then she can peer up at me!
The hoods on these things are never big enough and so we have to drape fabric over it strategically to block out the sun sometimes on walks, i guess the parasol might be good for this but we didn't get one. I have just been playing around with it and realised i can put the hood on back to front and it has a massive bit that normally hangs down at the back, and this could work well at blocking out the sun and also for encouraging bubs to take naps. Hood also has viewing windows and organiser pockets.
We've been using the product for almost 4 months now, and have definitely had our value out of it since I have been using it for daily walks around the neighbourhood. It is very easy to steer one handed, which as every mum knows is important if bubs wants to be held in your arms. There is about 10cm clearance between basket and seat, so you can get things in and out relatively easily.
We looked around at many prams before deciding on this one, being first time parents it also involved heaps of "googling" to see what we should be looking for etc, and this was the one that ticked all the boxes for us. - Lightweight (compared to other 3 wheelers)
- Small enough to fit in the boot of a hatch (or behind front seat if wheels are taken off)
- Easy to fold, and folds vertically so slightly easier to lift into boot
- Price was very reasonable (it also helped that we got it on sale)
- Lots of inclusions
- Can be setup in different ways (eg hood on in reverse, foot cover thingy to deflect wind) - Not reversible in stroller mode, but this is the same for all 3 wheelers.
- Rear wheels are wider than they need to be, but at 63cm don't think they are the widest on the market, and i haven't had any trouble going through doors, checkouts, etc.
Light compared to other 3 wheeler – The idea for me to buy this pram is I want something that light and easy enough for me for a morning walk. I would say, if you want to use the pram for a walk/jogging, then this will do the job..being so lightweight and very easy to maneuver. However, I'm not a big fond of using this for a quick trip to the shops. With my Mitsubishi Lancer, it's a… Read more
bit hard to put it in the booth, needs practice. 5 months on, now I'm thinking of buying and umbrella stroller that light and compact enough for a quick trip to the shops or for a holiday. Lightweight, very easy to maneuver. Hard to access basket underneath, bulky but most of 3 wheeler are
Excellent – I enjoyed using this for my toddler and then my newborn. The stroller is very plush and comfortable. It folds easily and is so easy to push - even on uneven sidewalks, grass, and dirt. It's a great stroller to have to use from birth right up to age 3 or 4. It is a pleasure to push - it glides! I like the adjustable handle. The seat is very plush and comfortable. It's a very sturdy stroller. It's pretty large.
Good – This is a great baby stroller, especially for those mothers who are active and like to keep fit and take the baby along with them while they do this. Its very stable on its large three wheels and turns and moves easily so you can push it at a brisk pace. It has muti locking clasps for your baby so you know they will be kept snug and safe inside.… Read more
It also has lockable wheels for extra safety when required. The material is soft and sleek so it is easy to clean if you have the need. The top cover is great for cover against the sun or rain. Easily stows away to fit in your car when you travel.
Excellent – This is a great 3 wheeler. I love it. I couldn't do without it as I walk my dog each day and I never have to worry about whether my baby is getting bumped around because of the great suspension and handling. I know she's riding along in comfort. It's great when walking along pavements with Mother's groups also (I don't know how some mothers… Read more
survive with just those small 4 wheels on some strollers). At just under 10kgs it's light enough to lift into and out of the boot without any strain. great steering; comfortable for new born baby; washable and padded seat pad which is great and you don't have to buy extra liner, etc; Relatively good airflow inside for a 3 wheeler (other's like Valco or Mountain Buggy have no openings which makes it very hot in summer for babies when in full recline); Easy to fold up (even after having a c-section); Relatively light for a 3 wheeler; great suspension; adjustable handle is great for both Mum and Dad (varying heights); great colour; hood has a viewing window which can be fastened opened or zipped shut; handles great on pavements, grass, bumps, kerbs and also in the shops; In built sun shade within hood is great; My baby loves the bumper bar to rest her feet on now she's a bit older (3mths) - later I'll be able to remove it when she's bigger. I can remove the bar when I need to change her nappy when we're out and about.; rain cover is great as it covers the entire stroller (I've used it on extremely windy days when out walking so that bubs doesn't get cold but can still see out);Big pocket on back of hood at bottom plus a smaller pocket at the top which I always put my water bottle and sunglasses in. It folds outwards so you need to have a clean boot if you don't want the seat pad to get dirty; one wheel become squeaky after 1 month but that doesn't bother me; need to check front wheel lock every now and then as it came loose once when I was jogging and the front wheel nearly came off (This has not happened since though); Hard to access shoping basket with all the clips holding it onto the jogger but you soon learn the technique of getting things into and out of it.
OK – It's taking me a lot of getting used to with this one. I've pulled all sorts of muscles putting it in and taking it out of the car, I nearly took a foot off the other day when unfolding it - I never know which way it's going to go and it awkward and heavy. Bulky to fit into the car as well and I have a hatch back so the boot his big but I still… Read more
can't fit groceries in the car with it in the boot. I find it easy to steer and to take up and down gutters. The rear wheel base is wider than the stroller so I have to remember to be aware when going though door ways and down shopping isles. Good quality clips and buckles, also it's a stylish design and I feel like showing off whenever I'm out. Big Con is the price RRP is about $699. We bought because we bought the optional extra toddler seat that clips on and that was an extra $59. All up, once it's out of the car and all set up it's a pretty good stroller. easy to push, comfy ride for baby, stylish, feature packed. expensive, bulky, rear wheel base is wider than the stroller.
Excellent – I bought this second-hand to use as a jogger, but I didn't want to go for your conventional joggers which were simply too heavy to lift in and out of the car. This one definitely fit the bill. I love how it came with the raincover and footmuff so my son is comfortable in pretty much any weather. It's very easy to handle even over bumps and easy… Read more
to steer one-handed. Highly recommended. Very light, easy to maneuver, simple to fold, comes with most of the necessary accessories, a good jogger, not too wide so it fits into narrow spaces, fully detachable and washable fabric, trendy look, and just overall quality construction. The basket is nearly useless for me since it's so hard to get things in and out of it.
Excellent – Fantastic aluminium stroller. Well engineered, well built and very well priced for the features it has. Only one that had suspension, toddler seat, good brakes and was light enough for a small lady. Very, very light. Hard to find anything lighter for that price. For a small mum, this is really important when lifting in and out. We've owned it for… Read more
6 months now (3 months of use) and keep finding clever design features on it. Just small stuff like a rubber tip on the handle bar to stop the foam grips getting dirty when you fold it up, easily removable wheels, easy lock front wheel, adjustable suspension (for when you have two kids on board plus 1/2 tonne nappy bag), super easy folding - it all adds up to a really easy to use pram. If you are looking for a 3 wheel pram that has a toddler seat option, suspension, that is light and easy to use, the MX 3 is about the only alternative to a Phil and Ted but has the better features to boot (the less said about the P&T foot brake mechanism the better – the MX3 is a dream in that dept). It also has a bassinette option which is great (saves you buying a car capsule - just go straight to a convertible car seat). Haven’t had any concerns about the front getting light or wheels coming off. Equivalenet aluminium competitors are more expensive. the 'storm grey' is a bit drab but you can by the coloured liners for the seat which liven it up. We have a front wheel wobble too at faster walking pace but this is possible with any three wheeler and has got better after I tightend the nut
Excellent – Excellent pram for us as it folds up easily to take it shopping, isn't too wide (Strider) for shopping/dining and we can take the dog for a walk in the park without a problem. Rides very smooth and is easy and light to fold up into the car. Lightweight compared to other 3 wheelers, not too wide for shopping, suspension and air tyres for outdoors,… Read more
easy to steer, viewing window in hood, carrycot option for newborn excellent so you can view your baby and it detaches easily for the car. Good that it has the toddler seat option for future. That it folds outwards so you have sit it on clean surfaces and it has a small basket.
Good – The Maclaren MX3 is a good pram overall, easy to open and fold away. Great to walk with and is't as wide as some other prams which makes it easier to take shopping etc, although the storage space is so small it's hard to go shopping alone if you have a lot to buy. It also takes up quite a bit of space in the boot (I drive a Toyota Aurion)not… Read more
leaving much room for items such as the port a cot. Good steering, suitable from birth, you can buy a toddler seat that can attach to the front if needed, also has rain cover and warm muff as included accessories. Basket under pram is too small
