Good for infrequent expressing – I was given the new green pump to roadtest.I am exclusively breastfeeding twins and pump to give top ups while we're out and there is nowhere comfortable to feed or for hubby to give a feed. On recieving the package, the unit looks cool, it's fresh and funky. My husband liked the bottles as they fit a mans hand and they are not overly "baby girly" if he is feeding while out.

The bottle is a good shape, wide and squat, it would take a big bump to knock it over. I like the anticolic feature in the bottom of the bottle that keeps the air from entering the bottle through the teat, one of my pair has reflux and it works well. The babies both like the "silky" teat. the flow is good and suits both babies different suck strengths. The measurements on the bottle are hard to read due the decal partially covering it and the anticolic ring at the bottom collects a little water in the rim if standing in boiling water to warm it,I know it now and don't shake but swirl. Those are minor things and I will still pruchase them.

The pump itself? The bottle is so wide that the hand pump action is difficult and I seemed to be using the tips of my fingers and my hands aren't overly small. There really needs to be an adapter from the top of the bottle to base of pump that is narrower to allow easier use. The angled 360 degree feature of the cup allows for different positions, it's a good idea in theory but it needs tweaking because if any milk gets in the joint it slides around and I had it pop off a few times and lost some milk.

The nipple cup is comfortabloe but the "grips" collect milk which dripped off onto my clothing.

The strenth adjustment is a good feature but only good until the 3rd notch then it is just too hard to pump and is painful on the breast.

The pumping is noisy and sounds like a duck, but most pumps are snoisy in some way.

After 3 days of regular pumping the tendons in my thumb and inner wrists are painful and I have returned to electric pumping.

I compared this pump to the Pigeon brand hand pum, the MAM looks better and it's bottle system is excellent but the pumping action is much harder to use.If this pump came in an electric version I would definatly purchase.

I absolutely love the bottles and teats. The self cleaning system is brilliant and would be great for travelling, most mothers rooms have a microwave.

I wll definatly be purchasing the bottles and teats and I've since found they make pacifiers,so will try those as well.

I definatly recomend the bottles and teats and have recomended them on facebook and will recomend them on my blog, but I can't recommend the pump itself for frequent pumping without some improvements.

As a back up for occsional pumping while out or at work it would be fine. the bottles and teats painful tendons after 3 days regular use

Fine for infrequent expressing – I have the newer-model green version which I've used for 4 months now. For a manual pump it works fine, however I would not recommend it for anyone intending to express on a basis any more frequent than once a week maximum. Owing to the squat nature of the bottle, it is VERY difficult to grip and pump with one hand. Whilst possible, it strains and fatigues the hand and wrist terribly. Two hands were needed to pump, which makes expressing whilst feeding almost impossible.

The 360 degree swivel head sounded good in theory but in practice it made almost no difference to comfort or performance but added an extra component to clean.

I found that the rubber grips on the funnel adhered painfully to my areola.

The pump handle also has a small milk-trap that makes cleaning the handle very difficult. It is dishwasher safe, however it contains a metal component that makes it undesirable to wash this way. Rinsing after use invariably results in water getting into the bellows, which is inconvenient and at times reduces the pumps effectiveness whilst wet.

One of my bottles didn't stay firmly attached to the pump and required tightening every few minutes.

So whilst the pump was usable and easy to clean, the many niggley little issues it has made expressing for me a tedious and sometimes-painful experience. I have since bought a Medela Swing electric pump, and relegated this one to back-up duty. Green version looks nice, bottles are cute, baby liked flattened teat shape Uncomfortable, can't pump one-handed, pump handle has a milk trap

Very easy! – Gosh i am glad that I bought this pump! It is so easy to take apart and clean! I have had some other brands of breast pumps, and they had lots of tiny fiddly bits, This pump is so straight forward and easy to use! It pumps really great and is so affective! If mine broke I would be devistated and would go and buy a new one straight away! Cant live without it! It is super easy to use, super easy to clean, can be used in two different ways to pump directly into a bottle or into the storage device to go straight into the freezer or fridge :D

Great pump, easy to use! – I bought this pump to relieve my engorged breasts after my daughter started sleeping through the night. It's a fantastic pump that is so easy to use. In 10 minutes I can pump out 60ml with no leaks, no pain, no hassle. Vey affordable, easy to use, easy to clean, efficient at pumping milk, great fit, comfortable 'funnel' for breast. It's a little to see how much milk you've pumped whilst you are pumping as the bottles are blue
