Marlin 1895M in 450 Marlin

Would NEVER buy this pos – The barrel is not seated properly so the front sight is NOT at 90 degrees. Sent it back, they returned it with a rear aperture sight. Fixed NOTHING. I can't remove it due to thread lock and a shallow screw slot. I'm going to have to pay someone with proper tool as the screw is stripped. I didn't want the peep sight. I was going to mount a scope. Pathetic experience all the way around. I will NEVER buy another Marlin product. SO DISAPPOINTED

amazing accuracy – The 450 Marlin 1895 guide gun is a no nonsense light and compact big bore. Very easy to pack over the mountains and can handle anything walking in the continental US hills. After mounting a 2X7 burris scope I have experienced every round overlapping the edge of the previous shot at 50 yards and 1.5 inch groups at 100 yards. I never imagined this kind of accuracy from this lever gun but both the flat point 350 gr and sst 325 from hornady deliver. I have downed a few white tail with both loads and none have taken more than a few steps after a chest hit. This rifle has always been reliable in all weather and no malfunction of any kind has been noted after 250 rounds. Recoil is hi-moderate but manageable. Very powerful timber round in a compact package.
