service woes – Love the dishwasher until it stopped working. Rang Whirlpool who then recommended repairer AWR Appliances. They promised the world and delivered nought charging us a small fortune for the 8 minutes it took them to look at it to decide it needed a new board. Not that they could then tell us when or how much one would cost even when we rang them on numerous occasions. In the end had to give up and will miss this dishwasher greatly. Cant even easily tell whirlpool not to recommend them unless I want to spend time on hold waiting for them to pick up, they really need to have an email contact so when can let them know the people they are recommending are not doing them any favours, would possibly not consider any of their products again because of their recommended service people. I like the bottom shelf configuration as it is so versatile Getting a decent service from the recommended repairers is impossible

Mice continually get in the door and die! – Like the other reviewers say, this dishwasher doesn't wash well at all. But our major problem is that we live in a rural area and occasionally get mice. When the mice come inside they choose to climb in the door near the hinges, then get electrocuted and our dishes have a lovely burnt mouse smell to them! I have plugged the door with steel wool and silicone but the design just invites mice to climb up into the comfy inulation and die. Thanks Maytag... Looks good.... Way too expensive, hard to pack, tablets don't dissolve properly. Box of junk.

Bad – We were given this model for a wedding present back in 2006. And our kind in-laws carefully researched Choice Magazine to choose the right brand. It just goes to show that a bunch of scientists aren't genuine testers. You simply cannot judge on a couple of tests. So well after the warranty period we finally get to install the machine this year 2010 and only after a few months - its heartbreaking that after long nights of entertaining and leaving it to the dishwasher that the best I can get out of the wash of say approx 30 or so pieces of crockery is about half clean. You can't really stack closer together which you need to do to fit all the dirty dishes in. Admittedly the cutlery always comes out clean. Of late we have consulted the manual and found that not only the filter but also the rotor arms need to be cleaned out. That has helped a little bit. If you have the luxury of choosing a dishwasher for yourself - I would choose otherwise. The fact that it seemingly washes dishes instead of me. "Seemingly" being the operative word. It doesn't wash when you overload. The larger dishes cannot be placed upright on the bottom tray as the upper rotor arm hits them. It is confusing in general where to place what in which trays. You really need to rinse "well" before placing in the machine. (You might as well have washed). There is absolutely no way you can use cheaper dishwashing cleaning products. Its either Finish or Morning Fresh. It generally flips lighter weight plastic products over so that it fills with water at end of cycle - so in the sink they go for a wash. A lot of dishes you need to dry before placing back in the cupboards (particularly glasses).

Terrible – Piece of junk, the company should be ashamed of it's products. Service is abysmal, dishwasher just doesn't wash - useless, steer well clear of this product The looks - nothing else Doesn't wash the dishes, Every single load the tablet fails to dissolve Layout is congested, service is non existent Don't touch this piece of crap with a barge pole if you can avoid it- it's absolutely and utterly useless!

Had an Esko before - ran like a dream for 12 years. Will go back to that
