Well i finally did it cancelled out of ME/BOQ. It was sad because i was a very early member of ME, as a ,union member we went to ME & C Bus Super. Inaudible robot response, long waiting times for a issue to be fixed etc. I am now with another Bank and the level of SERVICE and call Waite times for calls is almost instant, friendly and a sincere, Oh! and you even get a call back within an hour depending the circumstances of the issue. My advice to anybody with ME Bank having ongoing issues CANCELL ACCOUNTS and move to another bank, it will give you Pease of mind and the knowledge you will be treated as a customer with respect.

absolutely rubbish. each time ive had to ring the bank its a wait time of over 2 hours to be told no one can assist with the enquiry. I am attempting to discharge from their bank and they are making me wait 28 days. they are happy to increase our interest rates as soon as they can but 28 days to discharge. App is crap, always crashes.

Prior to its take over by BOQ and over decades I found the service and products provided by ME to be outstanding. I have had a BOQ account longer than with ME. weeks as locked out despite inputing correct codes. And as have been unable to get through by phone after repeatedly being on hold for hours.

They have not replied to email contact and it is not possible to use the chat feature unless the account can be accessed. Bizarre!!

I need to move from this bank unless they can urgently fix their existential problems. Does BOQ deliberately want this bank to fail?

$400 cash grab by Me Bank – 28/9/23 opened a Me Go Home Saver account understanding the bonus interest criteria didn't apply for the first month on newly opened accounts. Deposited on 1/10/23 meting the criteria for the following month. Not seeing the bonus interest activated I called on 12/10/23 to find out why. The representative didn't know why either. the criteria left it at that. At the end of the month the $400 bonus interest was not paid. Apparently I did not meet the criteria. I applied for a *good will" exception and was given a hard NO! This is most unusual and not in the banks long term interest. I'll be transferring my funds to another bank and never coming back. This includes all other Bank Of Queensland entities.. move to another bank January 15th and are still waiting for our Closed Document as Center Link want proof. It is now Feb 25. Have tried phoning and post and still no body can help. Sadly, Is there any wonder we moved.

hill. Extraordinarily unreliable and unresponsive customer service over the last few weeks, as the bank had locked my internet banking account, and despite me calling every week to get it resolved, nothing had been done about unlocking. I do banking on my computer as well as mobile app, so I was able to use the app. The climax came when I transferred some funds into a crypto account, which is my prerogative. Then ME Bank locked my mobile app facility, as well. On speaking with a customer service person recently, who actually thought to put me through to tech team member, I was able to get both unlocked, however was told the lock was due to me transferring to a crypto platform account. I completely understand, and agree that banking security is very necessary, however with a 2 factor ID check in the system, a phone call with ID confirmation, would have been suitable to confirm if I had made the transfer. To top it off, I was advised that ME Bank restricts its customers from making more than one $5000 transfer to any crypto platform within one month. How dare they!!!!!

I've now opened an account with a new bank, transferring all funds and leaving a $0 balance with ME Bank. It was interesting that when I told the new bank customer service person about the crypto restriction, they were also astonished that any bank would have the audacity to place such a harsh restriction on its customers. While you may not be interested in crypto transfers, the overall customer service and online facilities of this bank has dropped so far that my recommendation to you, is to look at alternatives for your bank, and avoid Me Bank/Me Go.

 Follow-up  · I moved my account to a new bank. As it was all done online, there was no customer service involved for the transfer. The actual transfer of funds to the new account went smoothly.

wrong, try again later. I have also phoned them twice, the 1st time was on hold for over 1 hour before giving up and then the next day stayed in hold for 1 1/2 hours before giving up again. I have lodged a complaint with them via their website but again have not heard anything back from them. I am astonished that a bank can be this pathetically bad and treat its customers so badly.

connect. Please try back later." I also received three messages from ME: please complete your ME GO application here with the link provided. Finally l have submitted my application successfully but received the message: "Unfortunately, you will be unable to open an account with ME."

This was the first time in my life, l was unable to open a bank account after successful ID verification and submission. I feel scammed as l have provided my personal information. I never have any problem to open an account with other banks, eg ING, Ubank or Macquarie Bank. No wonder there are mostly negative reviews regarding ME bank.

After 3 years of letting me know about ME Go, ME finally switched me to ME Go. Why this complex switch was necessary, I do not know. It was a minor hassle. After switching, I now need to enter my mobile number to log in and receive a 2FA SMS and enter this code (the code cannot be copied and won’t auto‑fill like most modern 2FA systems). also receive an email notifying me of the login that I then need to delete (there's no way to turn this email notification off). This is very excessive… just to log in. Not consistent with most other banks, certainly not as seamless.

On the login page there is an option to use a log‑in ID, but reading ME’s own advice they state the following: there is no customer reference number (login ID) required to log in; instead, you will create a secure password. So why have this log-in ID option? Bizarre stuff. I assume maybe I could bypass 2FA using login ID? But no.

ME Bank has always been terrible due to archaic limitations. ME Go is not off to a great start. It’s the little things that matter… it’s not hard to achieve “not terrible”, yet ME somehow manage to achieve “terrible” again and again.

I assume maybe they have fixed some of their archaic limitations with the old ME Bank, like no instant transfers. But the need to create a whole spin‑off and move customers over is strange.

Phone wait time is 1hr 40mins, then the call drops out. I call again and wait 2hrs 36min and was unable to resolve my complaint because the Supervisor was not available. These wait times are ridiculous. Other banks like Virgin, Ubank and ING provide excellent service and easy navigation of their websites. The MeBank website is hard to navigate.

customers, it’s actually scary. Also they hold message says if you need help quickly, chat via the app. I started at chat a 1.12 pm on the 27th of November, its now 28th of November at 7.20pm and no one has responded to my chat.

A mixed bag. On the good side ME Bank has bonus rates that aren’t too bad and it’s fairly easy to get the bonus rates. wait in getting to talk to someone at ME Bank on the phone isn’t terrible.

On the bad side, ME Bank statements are now so spread out with multiple lines per transaction that it goes to pages and pages if you want to print out a physical record. And ME Bank provides annual interest statements to the ATO but they currently don’t provide them to the customer. That may be because the bank changed the account names and types in the middle of the last financial year and their computer system just isn’t able to cope with that. All that gets provided to us is interest in relation to the new account names. It’s also an issue that the default transaction statements are six monthly. If people want to check transactions how likely is it that they’ll remember every transaction in a six month period? Thankfully the statement frequency can be changed if you’re up for calling the bank.

the 1 statement I needed to apply more than once before it was successful. I am aware of the one report per day criteria due to the limitations of ME systems. I am also with other banks and it takes about 5 mins or less to obtain interim statements. Truly your system is archaic. I have the ME Go but my version does not have chat so I tried to call. Over 30 minutes later I gave up and hung up. To say I am frustrated is an understatement because I have wasted a lot of time trying to access my information when that process should be easy and fast. PS Product Review, in this instance I will not be submitting proof of purchase due to privacy and security.

We set up a high interest account, and they paid us ~10% of what we were due for Oct 2024. We complained, and they said we hadn't met the deposit criteria (which we had), but that they'd make an "interest adjustment" as a once-off gesture. We took this to mean a full payment. It was another ~5%. We complained again and they never replied.

ZERO STARS!!!!!!!!!! I have been a very loyal customer of ME Bank for almost 20 years. I am personally responsible for at least 5 people joining ME Bank. They used to be a great bank - but not anymore...... About 10 years ago, at my encouragement, one of my adult children opened a savings account with ME so that we could transfer funds to each other within only a few minutes. They have bonus conditions on their savings accounts designed to confuse people to reduce the amount of interest they pay. SpendME account from an external bank. You could effectively just setup a bank account and ping pong the money back and forth once a month and you'd meet the condition. To make this hard to understand they don't give you anyway of verifying you are meeting the bonus conditions and in the first month they pay you bonus interest regardless.

This is designed to make you think you've met the condition regardless of if you have or not to try and get you to miss the bonus interest in subsequent months when the balance is higher.

The conditions also are delayed so you only earn interest the month after you meet the conditions which appears to be to prevent people getting bonus interests 2 months in a row if you realised you didn't meet the conditions originally. Because when you notice you havent met the condition you have to wait a full month without the bonus interest before you can actually get it.

Gobsmacked over internal transfer delay – Family ME member transferred less than $2k to my MEGo account expecting immediate transfer. This did not occur and when queried was told it could take up to 3 days due to one of the 2 Me accounts was MEGo and the other was still with ME. Find a bricks and mortar bank – I have been with mebank for many years and for a while there it was the best online account. As soon as they change everyone over to MeGo, I have had to spend hours on hold waiting to speak to support staff. The new app is not user friendly. They got rid of the best features - the simplicity. Go find a bricks and mortar bank, even though there might be a long queue they cannot ghost you on chat or phone.

On many occassions in the past week I have sat on the phone for more than an hour trying to get through to ME, only to hang-up in frustration. Am constantly trying to update my details for payments to my new account details only to be told that the card number is invalid. Spoke to a CSR and was told that they would escalate the matter and get back to me. Next day I recieve an email to say that my complaint has been resolved. No protection from fraud with this bank – Do not trust this bank to protect you from fraud. We recently had one of our joint account debit cards added to Apple Pay by a scammer - his phone apple pay account not ours. We lost money to two purchases in Great Britain Pounds using Apple Pay - each purchase occurring on the same day. The debit card was cancelled as soon as we noticed the… Read more

fraud and a new card issued. The fraud department of ME Bank did not provide any detail how this could happen and walked away from the issue. Worse than this, the fraud department has not responded to any email query since. Of particular import was the question in my emails - did the bank automatically update the Apple Pay account (the scammer account) with the new card details as seems to be normal banking practice - no response. We had no choice but to empty all our accounts and move to another bank with no answer to this particular question as our money was no longer safe with ME Bank. The ME Bank fraud department is fundamentally missing in action with respect to active monitoring - two foreign currency transactions same day, short time between each - this being so out of usual spending patterns and no stop was applied automatically? Do not trust your money with this bank.

you're sending your money to (which is me). If you answer Not Applicable, they refuse to accept the form. When I called to ask why, they hung up on me. I am shocked as it's clearly me requesting it as I have a secret word and pin etc. It's leaving my experience with them as bureaucratic and glad I am leaving.

Appalling bank. Avoid at all costs – Their ME Home and ME Spend accounts are cons and their 5.65% bonus interest rate is the bait. Many of the conditions are hidden and they make new excuses as to why the bonus was not paid at the end of month. If ME was a supermarket the ACCC would be onto them immediately. ME GO - Home account - Appalling customer service, conflicting advice and complaints are on the increase – Can't transfer funds easily. They look for petty ways to stop you from transferring money out and also for paying interest they owe. They will try and trick and bamboozle you with terms and conditions wording. For example, the closing balance includes the calculated interest at the end of each month. So each month at the end you need to exceed the… Read more

interest calculated from the previous month on top of your closing balance as well. But don't count on them paying you the interest in a hurry. It's supposed to be paid on the 1st of the month but since opening the account 2 months ago, both months have been paid late for either myself or partner! They lock your account if you need to do a larger transfer, despite your answers being correct. Also, there's no customer service on the weekends or public holidays for lost/stolen cards or locked accounts, they simply lock your account and you need to wait for business day opening.
