Microsoft Zune HD
VerifiedMPN: END-000011 review
Excellent Ipod alternative – I have owned my zune HD for about 3 years now. It has been superbly reliable, continuing to run flawlessly. The GUI is simple and intuitive, sound output is great, battery life is great - I frequently leave mine switched on in the car and come back the next morning to find it still running. The hardy little player has been dropped, roasted in the car, left in the steamy bathroom, rolled through dust and sand and sat on without skipping a beat - only a few minor scratches and fingerprints represent the battles this beautifully crafted piece has faced.
It is light-weight, easily held in one hand and it's touch-screen is easily manipulated by thumb alone.
The only negative features of this device are its lack of apps capitalizing its ample hardware and it's inability to read unusual formats such as .ogg files as well as Microsoft's decision to refrain from further developing this fantastic little device. Extremely durable, Great battery life, Minimalistic design, Simple-yet-effective interface, wifi support. Not many apps/ games available for Zune HD, Largest capacity device only 60GB, Microsoft seems to have abandoned this product.
