Elbow handle snapped in half at 2 years – The vacuum delivered reasonable suction, in spite of a ridiculously short cord that had to be supplemented with an extension cord. The least impressive feature was that at just over 1 years the plastic elbow tube connecting the hose to the telescopic tube snapped in half. Considering the unit was used approximately weekly only for cleaning a 2 BR apartment this is very poor service from a relatively expensive vacuum. I would not buy Miele again. Show details
Good but not excellent – My parents bought me this to replace my Nilfisk. Well this definitely had more suction and is only marginally bigger. Lots of different fans speeds which is nice. Dial up quiet vacuuming or change for hard floor to carpet transitions. The looks are a little dinky. The brush just sucks all the brush fibres inwards making it less effective. the… Read more · 1
crevice tool just isnt long enough to be useful.
Bags are easy to inset and replace with a lid to ensure to don't throw dust everywhere in the process.
Hasn't missed a beat. Very happy with the unit. Power cord could be a bit longer however.
Rotating brush keeps jamming – After the vacuum head kept jamming, I took it apart. There is hair and fluff tightly wound around all of the moving parts. I don't think this should happen and I believe it is a design fault. I have spend 3 hours getting it out. Now I can't get it back together. Show details
was great, but DIED today :-( – performance WAS great, as well as the suction. BUT it stopped working today, totally died :-( I have ONLY had the vacuum for TWO years. I am NOT happy. Paid a lot of money for the thing Grrrrrr. Very convenient for the company, seeing that you get a 12 month warranty on the product. Never again will I pay a fortune for something that will not last :-( Show details
Excellent Vac - faultless – This vac has great suction, its easy to move around and has never failed in any way. We have owned the 4211 for many years and if it ever died we would buy another Miele in a heartbeat. Bags and filters are reasonably priced and easy to find online Miele is made to last, all of the Miele appliances we own have worked flawlessly. Show details
Excellent – I purchased the miele after much research, from all the good reviews about miele from this site, others who have purchased one and sales people. This smaller design was less cumbersome, had just as good suction as the larger ones so easier to manoeuvre, store and use in the car. The suction was so powerful on my carpet I don't have it on the… Read more
highest setting. Compared to the cost of a Dyson and the money wasted on the cheaper vacuum cleaners, the Miele is value for money. I purchased mine at Harvey Norman and saved $100 off the rrp. So far I have no complaints. Miele is also made in Germany and well known for their advanced design and technology. Light, compact, swivel wheels and most importantly good suction Probably the cost of replacing the bags.
Excellent – Admittedly I only bought this vacuum because I couldn't find a cheaper one in the store. They had none left in stock so they knocked $50 off this and I bought it reluctantly as I urgently needed one. Having said that, I would NEVER go back to using anything else. It's the most effective and user friendly vacuum I've ever had. It's versatility in… Read more
it's settings and tools mean you can adjust it so it's perfect for every task you have. I've had this for 2 years now, which is usually when my cheaper vacs are starting to show the first serious signs of wear and tear. But apart from some faded paint on the dial, this still looks and works as well as the day I bought it. Well worth the money and I'll definitely buy it again next time. Adjustable handle so you can make it taller so you don't have to stoop and cramp your lower back. Adjustable suction strengths mean you can vacuum hard surfaces (on high) and curtains and rugs (on low)-this makes the vacuum so much more effective, even for vacuuming different types of carpets. Great tools which are really good quality and very effective at getting into those small places. Sturdy vacuum body so it doesn't flip over all the time. All the pieces of the pipe click into place really snugly so they don't fall out all the time when you're vacuuming. And the noise it makes isn't too annoying either. I wish the tools were on-board so I didn't have to store them in the cupboard -but I've sort of gotten used to it.
Great value – This is a great little vacuum for carpet and also hard floors. I bought an attachment specifically for hard floors, but usually just use the one that came with it as is it easier than changing heads. Rarely need to use the highest setting and it is much quieter than other brands. Packs away nicely and is very reliable. Good value, great results. Bags are around $18 per pack (5) and they fill quickly.
Excellent – As far as value for money, this is a great vacuum cleaner. It may not be the most fashionable but it does the job, is reliable and hard wearing. I'd definately buy this vacuum again. The price of this vacuum was very reasonable and it does a great job. We have got an add-on dust collector unit on the wand, so very little dust actually reaches… Read more
our vacuum's bag. I love the 'quiet' feature and variety of suction levels. It is hard wearing as I tend to be rough & tough when carting it around the house. It's not that heavy either. The colour is fairly average (puke yellow). Not the most fashionable vacuum. The power cord isn't that long, so you have to change plugs or use an extension cord. I can't find a way to attach the wand to the vacuum when in standing position, little bit annoying for storage.

It's ne again just went to use my Miele and the section attached to the hose and before the metal tube has disintegrated into 3 sections.,
