Do NOT purchase a computer build from Mwave
I purchased an expensive computer build in a full tower case from Mwave. However the computer was delivered with damage to the inside of the side panel and the associated socket on the case.Mwave claimed the damage could have occurred in transit but that is not physically possible - the socket is internal and the case was completely unblemished on the outside, indicating that no impact or force had been applied on the outside. Mwave were most unhelpful with respect to remedying the problem, putting the onus and the cost back on me.
Having received a damaged build, my recommendation is do NOT purchase a computer build from Mwave.
Do they even properly test PC after repairs?
3rd time troubleshooting same computer, 1st one they told me i had a loose GPU cable, which ok i started up my PC and updated drivers where it instantly stopped working, 2nd time they found it was CPU and it won't even recognise and external devices and has the yellow flashing motherboard lights. I'm concerned I have a dodgy technician twice in a row. 3rd time is the charm wish me luck. I've had good experiences with them in the past, just this one is crap. Show detailsAvoid Mwave
I have used Mwave for about 10 years now and have bought 3 PC systems, 1 laptop and dozens of peripherals. Out of every order, 70% of them, yes, 70% of them I had issues with. The problems only got worse over time.Their return policy is abysmal, and they will do everything in their power to get you to just drop it or to deny you. Products that are accepted for RMA take an excruciatingly long time to process and you are still not safe, as they have also decided to keep the product and give a store credit instead when it's too hard to fix. store credit for me as been as low as 50% of the value of the item. I have had several orders "forgotten" and left in limbo for up to two weeks before I have opened a ticket to ask why they haven't been shipped. As soon as they get those tickets, they pop your order in the mail and ignore you. They lose orders CONSTANTLY in their own systems. I have waited up to 3 months to recieve an item: They have an EXTREMELY dodgey "In stock at our suppliers" policy. As long as their 'supplier', who could be in China, has the item, they will list it on their website as 'in stock' - This shows up on PCPartsPicker as 'in stock' and they use it to gain sales they would otherwise lose to competitors. If you challenge this, they state that it's in the fine print and you are the one at fault (technically correct?). They will delay response for as long as possible to avoid refunding, and often outright ignore you. Again for potential buyers: This is not one order I have had an issue with and came here to tantrum over. This is a pattern over many years, spanning over $15,000 in business. My experience is not one-off. It will happen to you, it's only a matter of when. So a fair warning: Use another trusted Australian supplier for your needs.Denied a laptop warranty claim over a sticker - Avoid
They refused to honour a laptop warranty on the basis that text on a sticker on the bottom of it had worn and claimed that constitutes 'physical damage' after gaslighting me about the reason for refusal being about the unit being slightly dusty (that went away after I threatened to go to Fair Trading). It's not my fault that the flimsy sticker with device info is located on the exterior of a device, and that simply using a laptop bag everyday was enough to wear it off after 11 months. The kicker is that there's serial info etched into the mothe... Read morerboard inside! I've already initiated a case with Fair Trading - I strongly recommend everyone with similar issues immediately goes to Fair Trading or to their state's Civil and Administrative Tribunal (e.g. NCAT, ACAT etc). They won't listen to you otherwise. Make sure to provide screenshots of all correspondence with Mwave.Exploitative and dodgy return policy
I bought Viewsonic VX3276-mhd monitor from Mwave and, unfortunately, it is very blurry when connected to my iMac despite everything I tried.I initiated a return but was massively disappointed and surprised to hear from Mwave that they don’t issue a refund if there is no clear fault, and on top of that they charge 20% restocking fee. This is in addition to what I would pay for postage to return the item.
This is a very dodgy and exploitative policy inserted by Mwave to exploit unsuspecting customers as people would believe they can easily ret... Read more
urn things and get a refund. The devil is in the details because people may not have time or bother to dig deep into their exploitative return policy. I am hugely disappointed. Even when I bought imac27 from a regular retailer on eBay, I was able to return it with no hassles at all and got a full refund. I ordered another product from Mwave which I am cancelling right away. Please stay away from Mwave or whatever they call themself.Prebuild PC just not up to scratch
Bought a pre-built PC. Delivery was prompt as it was over christmas. Got PC and did the setup of install of windows. Tried to activate Windows CD Key this failed with the CD Key provided. But windows did unlock with a different CD Key (Maybe from the image used by the image used to put windows on PC. I don't know) Anyway over the next few weeks I keep getting at random occasion a Blue Screen of death. I looked up error reports and checked on internet about error. A lot of ambiguous fixes that really did not explain anything. So I decided to do ... Read morea clean install of windows. This went without issue then went to unlock windows this failed with the CD Key that was with the original setup. So used the OEM CD Key provided this worked. Also a issue with Video Card occasional checkered pattern appears on screen for less that a second not way to reproduce this again checking on internet could be a lot of different issues. No use sending back for video card as they will say they can't reproduce issue. Good thing I am a advanced user and can diagnose and fix issues having worked in IT for 35 years. Usually build my own PC's but needed one quickly over Christmas because of reasons. Would not buy a prebuild again and disappointed with this product as Mwave have usually been good. Got me out of a pinch but a little disappointed.Went above expectations but still have a problem with the use of the "in stock" term
Power supply received later than the indicated time frame. If fact my order was in the verified stage for well over a week. Perhaps my comments regarding the use of supplier "in stock" information should be modified. It has been 13 days and my order is still processing
I don't know if I ordered mine during the holiday season is the reason for the longest shipping I have ever had in my entire life. I messaged the team and never heard anything back from the just yet.Great service at a great price
Pricing was good value and despatch on time for a very busy time of year. It's the first time in a long time that i've not built my own PC and opted for a custom Mwave version. Great build quality and running perfectly from the get go. Recommended. Show detailsOne of the best
I have dealt with these guys on multiple occasions now and they are always friendly and helpful, in my opinion they are simply one of the best sites to deal with. Great communication and solid packaging and always keep me up to date with delivery. Show detailsExcellent service
It's been a while since I custom built a PC and I had a minor incompatibility with the motherboard and case chosen. Instead of having lengthy delays, they upgraded the motherboard free of charge to a suitable one. Better specs all round. Can't thank and recommend them enough! Show details
Horrible PC Experience, Even Worse Service
I purchased a PC build from Mwave on the 10/09/2023. After receiving it, I immediately noticed issues, including poor connectivity, a grinding and buzzing sound from around the CPU or AIO as well as crackling from the GPU. This was accompanied by two blue screen crashes.I immediately sought to have it returned to have the issues diagnosed and the faulty parts replaced. Initially, I was met with a response that it had somehow made it through testing again without any issues being found. It was only after my continued prompting that the system... Read more
was horribly substandard for a new build that they then identified the GPU shorting. They immediately replaced this, but with a different (guessing similar) model without any correspondence with myself about options prior. However, when the PC was returned to me with this fix, it was still encountering blue screens, still had the grinding and buzzing sound and now after running a Windows Memory Diagnostics, immediately prompted that there was a hardware issue. This was also accompanied by a Recovery screen on restart citing a need for recovery tools. I once again had the PC returned and after a lengthy process they found issue with the AIO and replaced that, while apparently reseating the CPU and Ram to alleviate other problems. Now, after over three months of back and forth they have returned the PC to me once again, only to experience multiple crashes already. This has also included the exact same results from Windows Memory Diagnostics as well as the Recovery screen on start up. At this stage I am absolutely livid with the inability of the business to either provide a working product or a refund. Not to mention the awfully slow communication and resolutions that has led to this whole thing taking many months of my time and incurring stress due to a lack of working PC. The ridiculous amount of time this process has taken as well as the continued failures to resolve the situation has left me with no choice but to demand a refund now, or seek action under fair trading to do so through that means.Things do go wrong, but it is what they did to help that makes a difference
When I 1st got my top-end PC, it had an issue playing top-end games and would crash a lot. I work in IT, so I tried to diagnose the issue and found it to be the GPU. I know it's not Mware's fault that the card had an issue, and I know that it all comes down to how good the support is now. After some testing via a ticket, I was asked to return the computer. They found the issue of the GPU, just like I did and fixed it. The support and staff were fantastic and this is why I give a 5 out of 5. I wanted to let everyone know you can trust mwave this high-end gaming PC purchased. your in good hands even when parts are faulty. Thanks to all the support staff. - Shaneo Show detailsMSI MAG B760 TOMAHAWK Motherboard for a new gaming rig - worked great!
This will be the second MSI motherboard I have had, like the first this one suited my needs perfectly. I had no issues with set up and everything has worked from setup. I really like the inclusion of wifi on the board and the 4 m.2 slots provide great flexibility. The MSI software is as straightforward as any other motherboard software too which is a plus. The Mwave service was swift and effective too, getting the board out to me in a few days.
Summary: if you are looking for a cost effective board that gives you more modern features (ddr5 compatability, latest intel chipset, lots of m.2 space) - look no further! Show details
Good price, fast order process speed
Bought a MSI B650 Tomahawk motherboard with them. they process it fast and good price as well. Collection is fast and easy with a lot parking onsite. And the motherboard was designed so well that easy to connect and very stable, has been keeping it running for few days and no issue. That MSI center is the one spot to go to your preferred user settings, including gaming, streaming or just daily use.
MSI also did a good job on putting 4 debug LEDs on the board, so if things goes wrong it's gonna save a lot of time for rectification.
Anyway, 10/10 to this product. Show details
Questions & Answers
Hey, I recently received an order from mwave and upon opening it realised that the product I was sent was different to the product I ordered, should I expect to be sent the correct keyboard or should I apply for a refund?
Send it back and apply for refund. Buy elsewhere. Avoid this company
I've looked online and the refund process looks flawed and inconsistent at best, should I just open and use the product I was given?

your sales order number, we will be more than happy to look into it. Generally, refunds take 3-5 business days to process. Kind Regards, Jonathon MI recently acquired this Windows 11 computer https://www.mwave.com.au/product/mwave-office-pro-workstation-with-intel-core-i7-windows-11-pro-ac66678. Works well, no problems. A very efficient unit, however one oddity, when I shut the unit down completely via Windows, it closes down correctly and switches off. The push button on the left will not then restart it unless I turn the power off at the mains briefly! The unit doesn't have an actual 240 volt switch so it's a bend down to the powerboard, cue creaks and groans from this otherwise fit 85 year old! Any suggestions?

w keys on it and then try the PC. Bummer really as at my age although I still have 20 ~ 20 vision a white keyboard is easier to see in low light conditions. Anyway I'm glad my intuition is still alive and well!! Thanks for your prompt reply it was very reassuring.I bought a laptop Over a week ago now and it still says processing and it said it would be done processing in less than 4 days but that didn’t happen. I really needed this laptop for work and education and was expecting it to arrive right before break ended but it didn’t. I have no laptop to use for my schooling and it is creating a lot of problems for me since I can’t use a device. Any help?
It's a public holiday so a response today is unlikely. If you go on their website, log in, and open a support ticket that's the quickest way to get a response.
Hi Hout, I'd recommend, as Marvina (thanks!) mentioned, best to contact our CS team with your personal details and they can look into the order for you. - Daniel

. If the goods you purchase are faulty then we will provide a resolution of either a repair, refund, or replacement as part of our obligations. However, if the goods have been opened and you wish to return them due to a change of mind, there may be a 20% restocking fee. Please note, that many retailers will reject any change of mind, however, we choose to accept most but request a 20% restocking fee as we will need to resell the product as "Open Box" with a heavy discount. You did state the image is blurry, however, I would like to note that the monitor you purchased is a full HD monitor at 32" so the monitor may not look as crisp as a full HD 27" monitor. It is advised to contact our support team if you need any assistance with purchasing a product and we can recommend a unit based on your requirements. I can see we requested photos of the product and we will be able to identify if the unit is defective or as advertised. Please respond to the job and we can continue with the returns process.
