Good – Mine is 2008 model however I bought it new online in 2011. It has got quite good speakers. I like the unique way of locking/unlocking, quick media access button does the job. With factory software it used to hang but update fixed it. Unfortunately after that there is a feature of licence verification that enables many of mp3's which are not… Read more

purchased from Ovi store. Came with 12 months free Ovi music! Battery could have been more efficient while playing music

Love this Music Phone – Very affordable, cheap multimedia handset that has excellent audio quality. Its the first S60 touchscreen device that is internet browsing and music device at the same time. Its really good for music people. With Wifi, USB and bluetooth, it is too easy to store files. It plays music smoothly and has FMradio. It also has auto focus 3.2mp camera… Read more

with LED flash and microSD memory slot up to 8gb. Superb battery life even when using Wifi. Great sound quality poor camera

A good Phone not a smart Phone – Its a good day to day phone with a good camera. Music player is prety good and so is the video playback. A good size screen and it can handle a bit of punishment. easy to use for day to day tasks, good camera and music player Apps have limited options/setting, cant point an app to missing/new file, battery life, slow internet Show reply

A lot better than expected. This phone has changed my view of Nokia for the better – Excellent phone for the money. I think they must have fixed a lot of the problems than other users have had with this phone as mine works great. I have had it now for over 9 months and would recommend Nokia based on my experience. Lots of features and works Slow with some Apps and needs more memory

Bad – I wouldn't call the Nokia 5800 a smart phone. Its features and operating system still lags behind competitors. I had the phone for 1 year and couldn't wait to upgrade. This phone doesn't worth the money for what it can do. Great music phone with 3.5mm jack. Lightweight. Good touchscreen interface and comes with 8GB memery card expandable up to… Read more

18GB. Awful camera. Slow web browsing. Bad battery life. Fragile. Unreliable and not very usable apart from music features. Freezes a lot.

Good – Scored this phone outright for $300 in mid 2009. It's a great competitor to the iPhone 3G and at way over half the price is a no-brainier. Nokia have really done us proud with this phone. Compact (mostly 3.2" screen), fairly light weight, easy to use familiar menu system, WiFi, GPS with Nokia Maps, 3.5mm audio jack, nice style, good quality… Read more

camera, nice full screen keyboard, fairly rugged (dropped it a couple of times), almost two years and Nokia are still releasing firmware updates, perfect for it price bracket Should use MiniUSB (it uses nokia's proprietary usb)

OK – I've been a continuous and dedicated Nokia phone user since 1994 (the good old analogue days), with an upgrade every couple of years. When I decided to upgrade to an internet-enabled phone about a year ago, I compared all the touchscreens then available, including the iPhone 3G. At the time, the Nokia 5800 had some definite advantages over the… Read more

iPhone, including a decent camera with a flash and video capture and USB connectivity.

Over the year the gap between decent applications made for the Symbian platform and the iPhone operating system seems to have widened substantially. There are some decent (= useful) applications for Nokia - but the free ones are mostly poor and the good ones are pricey. I use my Nokia as a web browser, and it's taken over from my PDA as an appointment scheduler and calendar... but lately it's been feeling a bit clunky. Perhaps the fact that the stylus now has to be held in with a bit of sticky tape contributes to that.

Having just seen the specs for the new iPhone 4, with upgraded camera and USB, this long-time Nokia user is finally defecting. No doubt I'll be back in the future. Compact for a smart phone, familiar Nokia menu system, USB connection, responsive touchscreen. Quite useable but still a bit clunky for web browsing, screen gets grubby (then, it IS a touchscreen).

Excellent – This is the best NOKIA cell phone I've ever seen. It has almost all good utilities with a non-expensive price. It would be very perfect if the price can be lower. All the same utilities are included in N97 but with a much more expensive price. Good sound quality, luxury style and color, wifi available, 3G, professional scroll menu, big touch screen Lack of music control buttons like (next song, previous song, play, stop ...)

Excellent – I upgraded from this phone to the Nokia X6. The X6 is basically the same phone with a few upgrades. Apart from the bigger memory of the X6, I preferred the 5800. The touchscreen is good on the 5800, and the stylus makes navigating easy. The screen is big enough to watch Mp4 movies and the audio jack gives you the option of using any standard… Read more

headphones. The GPS with Nokia Maps means it can be used as a Sat Nav too!

A great phone, better than its replacement. Big touchscreen, 3.5mm audio jack, solid feel, GPS, Nokia Maps Nothing really!

Excellent – Just love the great resolution and screen size. The battery life is awesome and can keep on going for 4 to 5 days of normal usage. The camera is quick to shoot although Nokia permanently enabled the camera tone due to 'privacy reasons'. Also the XpressMusic shortcut button is very stylish and handy. Like the design and easy to use interface. The… Read more

speakers are nice and loud and call quality/ loudness is good. Overall an awesome phone and fits into loads of people's budgets, the best iPhone alternative. Holdable just by one hand (which I need it to be), great screen size for movie watching, nice photos, love the XpressMusic shortcut, LONG BATTERY LIFE, The camera tone won't switch off

Good – Fantastic phone. I did alot of research before buying and it was highly rated in the smartphone category by various tech reviewers. Overall, Im very happy with it. It has some real positives though occasionally a little complicated (I still havent worked out some features). I would definitely recommend it to people who want something from the… Read more

touch range, with an inbuilt music player without the associated cost. I picked mine up fairly cheaply via Virgin. Really large, responsive screen. Full screen keyboard. Great camera. Awesome application range. Ability to extend memory. Very reasonable cost. Not that great for net surfing

OK – I've been using it for a year now. It's quite fine. User-friendly and nice to use. Many it has more cons than pros in the technical features. Wi-Fi adds depth to the phone overall. Downloadable themes and apps from online will turn this phone into a nice and useful gadget. For those who like Nokia phones, this is one of the few full touch screen… Read more

phones. It is nice to use, with various apps for download. Since it is a Xpress Music phone, the loud loudspeaker would please you. Screen is not too small, not too bad when watching videos. Slightly bulky and thick. Battery life drains put very much, especially if you use applications for a day, battery won't last for the day. Very low ram, so if you use many apps at one time, phone usually reboots. Picture quality is not that great although it comes with Carl Zeiss lens.

Good – Once I got the hang of it and explored the different capabilities of the phone I fell in live with it. I also use it as an music player and radio when walking. The camera produces top photos. Definitely recommend this phone. Phone came free with a plan. After i got used to using it I now love it. Next best thing to an Iphone. The music… Read more

capabilities are terrific. Online updates keep the phone current. I haven't mastered the satellite navigation or the handwriting yet, but that is probably my fault. Simpler instructions for us older folk would help.

Excellent – A great phone. I wanted an iphone, but hubby said no. This was my compromise. I've downloaded quite a few games and apps, and have had no problem with room on the phone. Great battery life, clear screen and sound. Very easy to negotiate your way around. I would recommend this phone to anyone that is looking for a touch screen phone, without the… Read more

expense of the iphone. This phone is very easy to use. The touch screen is responsive, there is a full QWERTY keyboard, and the screen rotates automatically. Sometimes when I try to go online on the phone, it reboots. The camera on the phone is pretty average.

Excellent – this is a great phone, i wanted to ease my self into getting a touch screen and this was the perfect way to do it, ive always had nokias so i found it easy to navigate. I get good battery life for a touch screen, and love that it came with free music, very easy to download songs only down side is that you cannot used those songs as a ring tone.… Read more

Excellent – I have not always chosen Nokia's but this phone is a great performer. Ease of use and sound quality is important to me. Loads of extra features including Sattelite Navigation. Free Nokia music for 12 months is a great bonus and easy to use and set up. Bravo Nokia I have tried many touch screen phones and this one is wonderful. Easy to… Read more

navigate the menu's, touch screen is responsive and accurate, messaging is easy-you can use handwriting or use alpha numeric keypad. Sound for music and tones is clear and crisp, loads of choice to set up phone display as you like it. Size of phone is great, and provided carry case is handy and tough. Camera 3.2 megapixel camera gives a pretty sharp picture. I found the phone loses a few minutes about once a month, easy to adjust time though. No other cons so far

Excellent – Have only ever owned Nokia's in the past and this is by far the best one I have owned. Comfortable to hold. Packed with features. Easy to use...Apart from the time issue with my phone I cannot fault it. Good – This phone is so stylish and looks great, but I think that it's quite complicated to use. The camera takes really high quality pictures, it's 3.2 megapixels. It comes with 12 months of free music, and I suggest you take advantage of that and buy heaps of songs from Nokia music! Touch screen. There are heaps of different ways to text, so it's… Read more

really easy. It comes with 12 months free music and it's simple to transfer music from the computer to the phone. The screen gets dirty easily. It's not a simple phone to use, with all the buttons and controls.
