Nokia E52 (2009)

Good – I have upgraded from a 6120 Classic to this phone because of its look and was offered on a very competitive plan. Phone hasn't missed a beat. Buttons are easy enough to use to make calls, and not as congested at the next model up with a full QWERTY keyboard. There are a lot of Symbian 60 based applications that are available also. Memory on the phone can be extended to a whopping 16GB, so can actually double as an MP3 player or supplementary camera that does take a mean photo. The Ovi maps application that was free with my phone at the time is rival to google maps and is very quick and easy to use and doesn't use very much internet bandwidth. I found this very handy when walking blindly around inner city Melbourne. If I were to flush this phone or damage, would I buy it again? More than likely yes, as I love a phone that fits in my pocket, is audible when on loudspeaker, and isn't there purely to be a fashion statement. Easy to use Nokia interface. Metal type housing. Reasonable sized buttons for mutton fisted people like me. Very easy to surf the internet with. Fantastic Battery life I get a week to 10 days out of a charge and thats taking a fair few phone calls. really good camera. GPS inbuilt. Better external speaker than an iPhone as well. Not much in the way of aftermarket accessories like covers etc. Screen size doesn't lend itself to viewing whole web pages, but then again I didn't purchase an iPhone and I was aware of this. Long phone calls can roast your ear as the phone does heat up. Susceptible to moisture damage on speakers when making long calls and you get that "sweaty ear" thing going.
Excellent – Cool looking phone with lots of features. Very light. Camera takes top quality pictures. Took it on a road trip and did not have to charge it for four days with heavy usage. Excellent smart phone. Typical Nokia build quality. Very long battery life and excellent reception in remote areas. Needs to be turned off regularly.
