Over 5 years later – I wish my cars ran this well after 5+ years. It's now a little noisier but still pumps out air like an everest breeze. 8 speed settings and so many other types of settings that are very useful woooow unheard of in most fans. And all the other fancy things this fan can do. Best fan I've ever owned. My Dyson didn't come close to this... ps,

Good for my use – Purchased this fan for my bedroom, cheaper than ceiling fan and not blowing directly on top of me nor too cool, also can turn off in middle of night when it cools down or use timer. Took out extended warranty (recommend) as only lasted about a 18 months and replaced with same. Otherwise happy with all features.
Mediocre – I bought this fan about a week ago and all I can say is that it's alright. It puts out an average amount of air, is reasonably quiet and oscillates to a satisfactory degree. I don't know if the ioniser actually does much but it's nice to think that it's there. When I first powered this fan on it was making a maddening clicking noise as if something from the fan mechanism were hitting the internal casing. I literally had to wrench the back off to find that yes the fan mechanism had a sharp bit of jutting out plastic which I had to cut off. Remote control is a nice touch, but in the dark it can get confusing with the seven buttons it has. I like the vents to adjust air flow up and down. Could be thinner, could be quieter, build quality is relatively poor. The display is far too bright; I have to cover it with a shirt while sleeping at night. When it oscillates it makes an irritating clicking noise.
Superb. Better Than My Dyson – I mean what I say when I compare this to my Dyson AM 03. Both are similar sized fans. They Dyson costs more than triple the price. The Noir Tower runs almost silently. The Dyson doesn't. The Noir Tower has an ioniser. The Dyson doesn't. The Noir Tower has a timer. The Dyson doesn't. And the Noir Tower uses much less electricity than the Dyson AM03.
I also like how you can angle the 2 vertical vents on the Noir Tower for multi directional fanning. In summer I point one vent towards me while I sleep and the other towards ground level on my dog. Again, the Dyson fails here as the similar sized AM03 has no vertical adjustment whatsoever unlike nearly every other fan on the market.
I have tried many fans over the years and for $120 this was an absolute bargain. Highly recommended! Good price, all the necessary features, silent operation
