Terrible – I would not recommend this product. The specifications sound good on paper but the design of the unit is such that it is not fit for purpose. The air is not filtered correctly. A potential design change to include sealed lighting was considered by Omega, however this Omega have confirmed that this will not happen for the Australian market. Price, specifications (purchased for low noise rating and high air flow capacity). I have the 700mm unit. The halogen light fittings not sealed, they are open to extraction unit. Therefore, much of the air flow is drawn through gaps around the lights and not through the filter, as air will naturally take the easiest available course. The lights get very greasy, this is a potential fire hazard particularly when you need the lights to be on when cooking. The air is not filtered properly, therefore the air flowing into roof is greasy, again - a potential fire hazard with the fat likely to settle in a greasy film in the roof cavity. It is impossible to clean the unit correctly as fat is being drawn through the unit without being filtered. As a result, the unit and the roof cavity will become smelly over time.
