I have been a long time devotee of Oyster Bay Savignon Blanc, I had a glass of another NZ Savingnon Blanc just recently followed by an Oyster Bay? It was bloody awful I thought I was drinking a pretty ordinary Chardonay. Last time I will buy Oyster Bay.

2018 sauvignon blanc is awful – We had a 2017 open and cracked the 2018 expecting similar. The 18 was not tart and crisp, more like a flavorless table wine. It got 2 stars because it was drinkable, but don't expect the quality of the earlier vintages. Will not purchase again.

Something screwy – A long term favourite of mine and I was shocked by the recent purchase of 2018 Sauvignon Blanc. Not drinkable and tastes like straight apple cider vinegar. Oyster Bay Savi B RIP

The 2018 vintage is terrible – I've drank this on and off for years. The 2018 vintage is so terrible I will never purchase it again. Has the taste of a really cheap Australian cask wine.

Why is the quality so poor – As long time users of Oyster Bay Sav Blanc, we recently bought 6 bottles at Dan Murphy. Undrinkable. Have tipped out two bottles. Why the change of quality? Now a waste of money.

Quality not the same is it? – I have been a long time drinker and fan of this wine but something strange has happened of late. The quality is now sub standard. I used to pay $15-16 but now its selling for $10-11 and tastes like a $4 plonk. Why? Because they may have swapped it for a crappy bottom shelf little brother. Thinking customers won't notice and continue to pay $15-16.… Read more

But no, consumers stopped buying it and hence its price drop to a lower price range.

Good luck with that strategy!

Very good, but getting expensive – We have consumed many bottles of this Marlborough wine over the last few years. It was $14 at Dan Murphy's (Holland Park) for a long time but seems to have jumped to about $17-18 recently as others have noted. In smaller shops it seems to be about $19. You can only seem to get it for $14 now on buy two deals. It goes well with either chicken or… Read more

seafood (especially fresh cooked prawns). If we don't buy this we go for the Toi Toi Marlborough Sav Blanc which also okay for its lesser price. It is fine to take to dinner most places. Goes well with most white meats Getting too expensive for what it is.

Good – I have been drinking this wine for a while now and its once of my favourite wines I buy regularly. I enjoy the Sauvignon Blanc over the Chardonnay but that's a personal preference. Lately though the price has jumped from around $12-13 a bottle to $18. Not sure whats going on there, still one of the cheaper wines out there though. I recommend it. Flavour Price increase

My go to wine, time after time! – I don't even know where to start with this wine. I have tried cheaper alternatives but always end up purchasing a bottle of Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc. It's definitely my go to wine for entertaining of just a sneaky glass after a long day. It's very 'fresh' and doesn't leave a nasty after taste like some other Sauvignon Blancs can. Taste and availability at most major liquor retailers. Price, although it varies from seller to seller.

Excellent – This is a well priced wine, with a great taste. I found it as the wine of the month at a hotel we had lunch in and really liked it. I have bought it since from Dan Murphys for $12 a botttle. This is a lovely wine, with a lovely full taste. Its is not too tangy and has no aftertaste that some wines can have. Its fresh and really nice well chilled.… Read more

One of the nicer Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc ive tasted.Reasonably priced. Prices seem to vary form outlet to outlet, depending on how and where you buy it.

Good – I first got this wine as a glassful in a pub with a lunch and really liked it, so went looking for it in the bottle stores, the prices where all over the place anything from $10 to $18 depending on how many you bought. I got a dozen and it was well worth it,everyone I have given it to has liked it. It goes with almost anything in the food line,… Read more

from a BBQ to a formal dinner. The bottle is distinctive too so you don't mind showing it, some bottle labels recently have been outlandish. I will definitely be looking out for more of this Oyster Bay Marlborough This is a really nice wine, full of flavor and very refreshing. Nice tangy taste with no bitter aftertaste. nothing much

Excellent – I love this wine. It is very easy to drink and is great for relaxing with friends. It is very smooth to drink without being too dry or sour. It has a nice fruitiness so is a great all round Sauvignon to keep in he fridge for when people drop in. The price is reasonable and is well worth spending a little more than others in the cheaper price… Read more

range. If you shop around or buy in bulk you will get a better price. Great taste without being too sour. Screw cap bottle A little more expensive than your cheaper Sauvignon Blancs (approx $17)
