Overall: Don't advertise their fees on their website. Why have a website without advertising your fees? Highly offputting. It would be appreciated if you could update the website forwarding a 50 question enquiry form

Pros: Service, service service. When you get everything that is promised plus more there is nothing more i can say.

Cons: [name removed] should have persuaded me to do this sooner

Overall: Seven years ago i looked at the concept that is now Pacific Boating. It was called something else then, but [name removed] was the guy running it then as he is now. There is nothing better than doing a bit of due diligence but this may have been taking it a bit far. To be perfectly honest i was travelling a lot and did not have the time to enjoy it. This is a terrible excuse and how i regret it now.
I joined Pacific Boating at the Sydney Boat show 2011 and can honestly say it is one of the best decisions i have made for years. From the original explanations of the membership, the no hard sell attitude of the staff to now the experience of boating on Sydney Harbour, Pacific Boating can not be faulted. I looked into boat share, boat purchase, other clubs and although it took me seven years i came back to Pacific Boating.
The training by [name removed] is fantastic. Must be good as i have been out twice now and have not hit a thing or lost anyone overboard.
The service when you pick up the boat and drop it off at the end of the day is courteous, helpful and yes they are very patient. Despite taking a few goes to park the 10 ton 37 ft cruiser they still complimented me on the parking.
The best part of taking out a boat membership with Pacific Boating is that you do not need to talk about it with friends. When you ask them to come out for the day and they think you have a small tinny, it is quite impressive when they rock up at the wharf and you have valet service onto a really comfortable and well maintained boat.
Many people mock customer service these days and i could name many times that i have received absolutely crap service. This is definitely not one of them. Everyone seems to really enjoy their job, i can understand why!!
I can say no more except, try it!

Pros: Great people and good experience every time!

Overall: What a great way to experience quality boats from 2 supurb locations - Sydney Harbour and Pittwater leading nto the Hawksbury. By being a member you have all the pleasure of cruising without any of the hastle. The team at Pacific boating are always great to deal with; i would certainly recommend.

Pros: Great boats, great staff

Cons: As you would expect, there might not be a boat available for use on the best summer days. You just have to plan in advance.

Overall: I have owned a 30' Sea Ray Sundancer in the past and understand how much cost and effort go into owning these boats. Washing, waxing, defouling, engine servicing all require time, money, and effort. And the cost to finance and keep a boat in a good location is expensive.

Pacific Boating's walk-on walk-off service takes all the hastle of boat ownership away. And the staff at both locations go out of their way to make your day on the water a good one.

Pros: Easy to get out onto the water, without any of the normal distractions of boat ownership.

Cons: Nothing at all.

Overall: From easy going yet professional training, through to getting out on the harbour in a very well maintained and awesome looking boat, the guys at Pacific Boating were great. Good attention to detail as well as good systems to ensure everything was followed up on time, meant that we didn't have to do much other than enjoy ourselves.

Cons: NO cons, BUT it would be nice to have boating access at Roseville Marina

Overall: We have been members of this type of organisation for some years now, but since joining Pacific Boating, our on the water experiences have given us, our family and friends a lot of enjoyment. The boats are always clean and mechanically in good condition. Without exception, the friendly staff offer assistance and their patience, as has been needed in some cases, is exemplary, making any outing with the boats a memorable occasion. The walk on - walk off experience provides a hassle free enjoyment at a reasonable cost.
