Battery and Chargers available today faulty OEM. SHould not be sold – I bought a new battery for my fater in law. It would not charge in his old charger. I then bought a new charger and the charger lights do not work. All up $260. I would not ever consider this expensive tool and parts. Show details

I love this drill – I love this drill, I have renovated my entire house with this Panasonic drill, including framing, drywall, roofing, flooring, etc The battery lasts a long time & the torque is plenty strong. I recommend having two batteries so while I am working with one battery the other is charging, seems to take an hour or so the charge.  Show details

Can't fault it – Had this drill 10 years. Pricey at around $500 but its awesome. Battery life is amazing! Its had a fair bit of use as a home handyman. Ive used it as a roofing gun whete it go too overheated to hold. I use to erect colourbond fences. Ive had the brushes changed once. I bought a aeg from bunni.gs and its terrible in comparison. I used older brand panasonics in a factory where they copped heaps of use. Fanatastic drills from Panasonic  Show details

This Drill is The Best On The Market Hands Down – I've owned my drill for 13 years, they have built numerous buildings steel structure buildings. Other workers had dewalt ext. And my drill would work circles around any 18v one battery to two any day. I still own this drill it's worn down now and I'm going to upgrade to new one and it will be another 14.4. The battery's will still work so I'll have extra this drill impact set is pricey but you get what you pay for in this case for sure.

Rolls Royce of drills – I obtained my drill/impact driver over 5 years now. It fell into a swimming pool in the first week of purchase and after a thorough dry and liberal amount of wd40 it hasn't stopped going strong. I am a builder and need quality tools so will not buy any other brand in drills, this is it, no need to look elsewhere.

Best drill driver I've owned – I have had 3 14.4volt LI ION sets on my busy building sites, They are often falling from heights of up to 3 metres and hold up well, and on two occasions they snapped through the handle. They were easy to wrap with kevlar and epoxy and still ran great. Ugly but great. After taking one apart I find they are very well engineered and stand up to… Read more

getting wet, dropped, covered with sand, dust and have amazing battery life.

The only reason i replaced them was when they were stolen from a vehicle and that was after three years.

I have an 18 volt set to but would recommend the 14.4 volt one as its just so light and just as powerful.

There are other brands on site but the Panasonic is the favourite . I will be trying Festool when the current drill/drivers give up. If they give up!

Flogged and still going – I've got the drill driver set and have used this for landscaping jobs over the last 3 years and its copped a fair flogging from being dropped to getting wet and covered in cement dust. It's the most comfortable cordless I've used and although the batteries don't have the capacity now they have been great over the time I've had them.

Terrible – Apparently I am told they often die if droped. not what i would expect from a drill of its price. if i buy a bare skin replacement it would have cost me $850. I dont think its worth that. Light, comfortable and powerful. Fragile, fell of my ladder inside and landed on carpet = completely dead and not covered by warrenty. if i buy a bare skin replacement it would have cost me $850. I dont think its worth that.

Excellent – I've owned my unit for over two years and it's been great. I use it professionally and it's my preferred choice whenever I'm doing anything around the home that needs a drill. High price-tag but I've found it's been worth every cent. One of the first uses I had for it was deconstructing a balcony at home that we needed to replace. It ran… Read more

constantly all day on the one battery - I'd never had a drill that gave anything like that sort of performance!

The second battery is almost superfluous.

I've never been stupid enough to drop it so cannot comment on how robust it is - just use the belt hook instead of propping it precariously on a ladder rung...

In fact I'm so happy with the unit I'm about to replace it with another identical one and move the old one on to keep handy around the house.

A lot of the high end drills have metal casings and are therefore quite heavy - not a problem with this unit.

I know I sound like I'm a Panasonic Sales Rep but I'm just a happy user. EVERYTHING!

Lightweight, comfortable grip and fantastic battery life! Nothing yet (after more than two years)

Excellent – I have a big hand and the grip is just that little bit too small to be 100% comfortable. Otherwise it is perfect - small and nimble enough for the most delicate jobs and hardy enough to use all day. Love the drill, never any troubles in 3 years. Battery life is brilliant. Weight, Balance, Precision and ease of use. Small Grip, direction button gets in the way of hand. Case a bit big and cumbersome.
