15Y and still going ! – Best one we ever bought and it's still going 15Y later, with the original pan ! Using for pizza dough and bread making. Quiet, efficient, durable. Great product, well done Panasonic. Show details · 1
a classic – I was delighted to find one of these at the Salvos. My first bread machine purchased in about 2000 was one of these and it gave about seven years' sterling service before giving up the ghost. Since then I have had about five or six different machines, but none matched the original Panasonic. In particular, the pre-heat mode means the ingredients are brought to a standard temperature before the cycle starts, ensuring really consistent results Show details · 1
First rate in every way – This is our first and only bread maker and we have been making bread weekly for the past 15+ years. Most shop bread has no body and we never buy it. The only issue with it is that the Stop/Start switch is becoming unreliable. It requires two finger tips to operate the switch. Even if we could remove the control panel, we doubt a replacement switch would be available. Show details
Good – For its time this was a top-notch machine and it's still hard to find a machine that can match it. Taking a bit of time to learn baking basics pays dividends with this machine, as then it becomes a very flexible kitchen appliance with more uses than just making bread... A consistent performer, and has been reliable for eight or nine years now. … Read more
Used it for doughs, breads, and even for baking hand-kneaded loaves and it does the lot. Grains scratched the teflon right under the paddle boss after about the third time I made grain bread, because the paddles doesn't always stay fully seated. Buttons starting to become unreliable after all those years of making my almost daily bread.
Couldn't live without this little beauty – I bought one not expecting much but I was shot to the top of my class, the bread was unbelievably good like I was a master chef. I had so many compliments I felt like a champion. It was so easy to use. I followed the steps by step instructions and magnifo!!! brilliant Panasonic, brilliant product. That it actually did everything the brochured said and more. Nothing, I gave them out for Christmas gifts, I was so fabulously impressed. Show reply

Excellent – Brilliant machine has saved me a small fortune over the years and delivers consistent perfect results every time. Love getting creative with recipes for lovely flavours. Panasonic make the BEST bread making machines on the market. Been using my trusty SD250 daily for nine years without fault (although the inside of the pan is wearing slightly this… Read more
presents no problem). To stop the paddle sticking 'inside' the loaf or causing a hole in the base of the loaf when extracting, simply remove pan with baked loaf inside and leave it sit for 30 minutes before tipping the loaf out onto your cooling rack. No cons I've encountered.
Excellent – I have been using this machine for the last 7 years without any problems at all. I have been using various Laucke bread mixes and I get a beautiful and very tasty loaf of bread every time. I love the timer function which allows to complete baking at a set time ie ready for breakfast. Have been using dough option to make pizza with good results. I… Read more
am a little worried after finding out that this machine is no longer available. I had a Breville brand before Panasonic and it died soon after the warranty ended and while it worked it never gave me great results. What to buy if my Panasonic quits????? Reliable, consistent results Apparently no longer available
Good – Great machine, as all owners do agree. With a standard mix of( all Laucke ) Rye Mix (60%) 40% Wholemeal flour & 10% Bakers flour, 1/2 tsp honey and a little bread improver ( plus yeast and water to suit) it produces good crusting, excellent cell structure, pleasing plasticity and good keeping. I'm not surprised that so many users continue to… Read more
sing it's praises.. Once you get your recipe/s sorted out it is pretty consistent.. Being my first BM ( and s/hand when I got it) I don't have anything else to compare it against. The mixer arm has become so lose oon the spindle that it makes quite a noise until it gets to the rolypoly ball stage.. The repalcement costs for parts are unrealistic, and not worth it. If they still sold Panasonics in Oz I would buy one. They don't, so I can't.
Excellent – This Bread maker is the best!! So easy to use and the bread turns out perfect all of the time. I have had mine for about 8 years now but i am worried that when it retires i can not buy another one. I f any one can help me with this it would be very much appreciated. I love it, the only thing is that Panasonic have stopped production of this brilliant product.
Excellent – This is a great quality bread machine and it is so easy to use. All you do is put the ingredients in, set the bake setting and start and the machine does the rest. The loaves come out light and fluffy with a nice crust. I have had mine for a while now and never had any problems with it and the beater has only stuck to the bottom of the loaf once.… Read more
The bread must be removed from the machine as soon as it is finished or it can get a little soggy. I would highly recommend this bread maker to anyone as it makes delicious home baked bread. easy to use, set and walk away
Excellent – You can't better this brand. This is my fourth Panasonic machine. I have used other brands over the years, but the results aren't as good. It is very reliable turning out a successful loaf most times. It is so easy to use, and there's nothing like the smell of home baked bread. In hot humid weather the bread does not rise as much as in cooler weather.
