This was great in uk but don't move to Australia as it won't work – If you buy this in Australia it would be great.but I bought this in the uk and it doesn't pick up Australian TV Signals and it can't be be fixed to a new region .so not very happy that it coyly not be regionalised but Panasonic were not very helpful and all they could say was sorry. The price to purchase this was not cheap  Show details

Excellent – This machine has worked without problem since we bought it about 4 yeard ago. you can easily watch one recorded show while recording another. We use the highest quality recording option as we "watch and delete" and find the picture to be of excellent quality- far far superior to VHS video recording. e bought it with an extra 3 ear warranty- but… Read more

havehad zero problems! Keeps on working and my wife gives it a real flogging- probably watching/recording in the kitchen 6+ hours per day. Its been superseded in our loungeroom by a twin tuner high definition Panasonic DWRXW 350- which shows how happy we were with this model Easy to use No high definition tuner- only one tuner, unlike newer models.

Excellent – Easy to use and I am about to buy the 250GB HD or 500GB HD so I can record in HD and I will put the 160 in the other room with a set top box that way I CAN record HD because of the set top box. I have been very happy with this product and hope that I am as happy with the next. So easy to use, Love it. Love the way all the recoded programs are… Read more

Good – This is a great HDD/DVD recorder. Our TV is 720p so the lower video settings still give great quality pictures to us. It only has 1 SD tuner but it's not often we want to record / watch 2 shows at the same time. We had trouble playing NTSC DVD's but after looking at some other reviews, it sounds like a setting we need to adjust. (We have the AUS… Read more ·  1

model) Setting the box to record TV shows is easy and the list of recorded shows can be set out by date, program name or channel so its easy to watch your favourites. You can use the time shift to fast forward any number of minutes you like. We love being able to shift forward 2 minutes through the ad break. This is a pretty good machine. Easy to set up. Recording shows from the episode guide is a breeze. No USB input. Can't set up the machine to record the same program at the same time every week.

Good – I bought this unit for the brand name after reading reports for other brands (philips, LG and samsung). I have it for 3 months and it works fine. Had it coonected to my old SD plasma using the HDMI-DVI cale and it actually improve the picture quality. I also opt for the 5 years warranty for $70 for the peace of mind (I found that things usually go… Read more

wrong just after the warrant period!). Easy to use and simple remote keys. Simple to use recording and editing functions (you need to study the user guide first!) Able to record over 7 hours of programs onto a DVD (real time recording only, not express recording). No caption/subtitle on tv programs which other STB or PVR do have.

No real time playback/pause on live TV.

Excellent – By using the digital TV guide it is ultra easy to set-up timer recordings. Highly recommend this recorder to anyone. Ive had this recorder now for 8 months. It is absolutely exceptional. Plug & play out of the box, its set's itself up automatically finding new channels when there added and updating its onboard time. No daylight savings adjustments… Read more

necessary. 1080p upscaling over HDMI works well with my 46" LCD TV. Extremely easy to set up programs to record. Good quality recordings. Ability to set-up the remote for your TV set (even different brands) so that you can turn it on & off / volume / channel and AV input selection. After using this unit for 8 months the only thing that would make this unit perfect would be the inclusion of a HD tuner.

Good – This is an excellent HD recorder and though it is not HD capable, it does upscale very well to 1080p. There are various quality settings on record and we usually use the 2nd to the best which provides near equal quality to the original broadcast. The unit is region free and we have played DVD's from the USA as well as Australia. There are… Read more

plenty of inputs and outputs. We use HDMI to our plasma and it works very well. The online guide is slightly clunky, but does allow for the scheduling of program recording. Good picture quality, easy navigation, integrated SD tuner No HD tuner, only 160GB HD

OK – I like the combo function of this machine. I can record up to 284 hours even at the lowest allowed resolution, yet the picture quality is still superior. It's easy to operate too. DVD recorder with a built-in 160GB hard drive Only one digital tuner. No series recording feature. no HDMI cable included

Good – Overall I enjoy using this machine. The record Quality on the Hard Drive is excellent but as to be expected the quality when transfered to DVD isn't so good. Having said this I have only recorded to DVD once as most programs are only required to be watched once and then deleted. The Electronic Program Guide so however let this machine down. programs are quite detailed but SBS is at times not even existing. As far as DVD recorders go you could do much worse than this once. Easy to use, Reliable Quality, Great Features, SD card recording Ordinary Program Guide, Only Standard Definition so it will not receive HD Channels. No USB
