Excellent – There seem to be a few recorders out on the market, but the Panasonic is the best value for money with a twin HD recorder + DVD player, all under $800 (well that's what we paid anyway). It was a no brainer choosing the Panasonic. Panasonic is the only brand on the market to offer this type of product. So it seems silly to purchase another brand,… Read more

with only one recorder and no DVD player for over $800! Can record two channels at once, and still watch another channel. Has a built in DVD player. Reasonably priced

Easy operation – Recordings were of a good quality in DR mode, and adding your own chapters is easy thanks to the dedicated "Create Chapter" button. Also, we had no problems in playing back the discs we made in other players — and they also come with a friendly blue Menu by default. I was impressed. No problems in playing back the discs we made in other players.

Excellent – This Panasonic unit is highly recommended by virtue of: ease of use; functionality; nice sleek design, quality finish, excellent High Definition picture quality; and reliability. I made another good Panasonic purchase with this unit. Extremely happy with my Panasonic Digital DVD Recorder. It has a comprehensive, easy-to-use remote control. The… Read more

picture quality for live and recorded broadcasts is simply beautiful on a big screen LCD or plasma television. The unit is compatible with most, if not all, forms of media. The on-line guide makes operating the unit so easy. Planning your weekly viewing is literally a dream. Installation was a simple procedure. No problems or concerns with this unit - an excellent quality machine complimenting my Pioneer Plasma very nicely. Hard to go by this one!

Excellent – Love it! It cost a fair bit but, along with digital tv, it has transformed our television viewing experience! Definitely recommended. The twin digital receiver is useful more often than you would think. The editing functions mean you can "clean up" the recorded vision (ie: remove ads etc) before burning or even playing. Photo cd's play well an… Read more

files load quickly. The on line guide makes recording so easy - I sit down on Sunday and set up all the shows I wish to record for the week and then watch them when I want! There's a small learning curve but once functions are understood, all is well. Ours did have a problem with the power supply - the unit would randomly re-start without warning. It took a few weeks to get it fixed (under warantee) but good now.

Good – This model rates as quite a handy record once the user gets used to the functions of the unit. Its not the best available but is reliable and will suit most user's. The unit is easy to use and setup. Has everything you need for HD TV. Its twin tuners and timer record make it possible to record two shows at once without having to be there. The unit… Read more

is user friendly. Timer recording two shows at once is only possible when putting the unit into a special recording mode which is set as default but when changed can make it difficult to change back. This unit is very sensitive to reception. It will break up very easily if it is not fed with a strong digital signal. Yes it does also does have difficulty recording to disc's this happens with both -R and +R just depends on the disc's make.

Excellent – This is a very good quality product. It is expensive, but I believe it is worth the extra cost to get HD tuners (just make sure you have a HDTV and HDMI cables to really appreciate it.) I want to support Panasonic as they are the only ones to keep HD DVD recorders on the market. Easy to set up and install. Has 2 HD tuners! When I was looking, this… Read more

was the only DVD recorder on the market that had this feature. The Electronic Program Guide makes setting timer record really easy. The unit has a large HDD. It also is very easy to navigate the recorded programs menu. The remote control button layout is not as easy to use as other models. Some problems with copying to DVD+R, apparently it is fine using DVD-R. Cannot copy HD quality TV programs to a DVD, but you can watch them at that quality.

Excellent – Love this dvd/pvr. Once you get used to how it works it really is a dream. Nice to have the capability to record 2 things at once and I can watch something else on top of that. The digital receiver is good, had trouble with previous set top box. You really can't go passed a panasonic. Easy to program, easy to use, everything great on it. No mute button on remote and can't find thebutton to back to previous channel either.

Excellent – Bloody brilliant and it cost $800. Not worth getting anything other than a DVD recorder with at least 1 HD tuner and the Blue ray model is a little expensive at the moment. I am sure the XW350 will be just as good. --Rosco My wife doesn't have to change tapes endlessly and I love it too. I have recored all of my VHS family movies onto DVD ...… Read more

use DVD+R you may need to experiment with length and quality. You cannot tape 2 programs and watch a third station as there are only 2 HD tuners. You can watch a DVD or recorded program while taping 2 programs. Love the 7 day program list as its so easy to use and record and see.
