20 years old and still going strong – I have owned this made-in-Japan microwave since 2003, and never had one issue with it. I wished they still made them. Show details

Great model Panasonic – This model has been great. Over 15 yrs old and still works great. I also have trouble keeping the ceramic plate clean (convection bakes spill). Still working but my steam oven has now replaced my microwave. Would be great for someone else.

One of the best buys we have made – We bought this microwave in approximately 2004 and it has been used every day since. My wife is a good cook and enjoys it, so she has used it for every possible thing that can be cooked, cakes, roasts, Pizza etc , the list is endless. We are still using it - every day. 2020. If it dies tomorrow, I will give it a full honours funeral. Show details ·  1

10 Years of life – I bought this oven at least 10 years ago and up until this week everything was working perfectly - and I used it HEAPS. Both microwave and oven every day. I have worked out this time what is wrong (microwave only problem), and this is why I have been searching for the model and am now posting this review. Need a part now and I reckon I'll get another 10 years out of this unit.

Good oven – We have used this as the family Microwave for years. We haven't used the convection feature very much. But as a microwave its been great. We broke the glass on the front but it still works fine. It also survived an ant infestation after being placed in storage during a house move. Its still working after all these years. Good robust product.

Excellent quiality – I have had this microwave/convection oven for 8 years and it is still working perfectly. I love it. It is very easy to use. It has a quick minute (which can be pressed multiple times to increase per minute) alternatively just select the power setting, from defrost to 1000w and set the time. Two layer shelving for use with the oven and plastic… Read more

plate cover to prevent splashing for use with the microwave.

This is the best - All in one - Can't live without it !! – This is the best - whilst many others claim all the features, I just cannot shy from promising my allegiance to the Panasonic microwave.. S guys who are looking for simplicity and ease of use without needing to flounder between microwave and oven - this is the one... So just go for it ! Highly reliable, energy efficient, correctly priced,… Read more

volumptous, all in one, does the microwave and the oven a shear justice... It is a non- standard microwave size - so be careful for the fit out in standard kitchen...

I would not recommend one – Only lasted 2 years and was very disappointed considering what we paid for it. Unit looks really nice but was to effective and value for money in my opinion. Is this a trend for Panasoic gear? Looks good Transformer kept blowing

Bad – I once considered Panasonic to be a reputable manufacturer whose appliances could be relied upon to last a long time. My 4 year old oven is not working, and with an expensive repair bill (over half what I originally paid for the oven!) I have a new, less favourable opinion of this company. Stainless steel fascia, convection and combination cooking options, size. 4 year lifespan, cost for parts/repair.

Very Disappointed in this product – Considering how much we paid for this product, it only lasted just under 3 years. We tried to have it fixed, however it was cheaper to buy a new microwave. Considering the brand and the price of the product, it should have lasted longer than it did. Looks Good Considering how much was spent on this microwave it should have lasted longer

Excellent – I bought this with my husband based on my Mum's fantastic 15 year stint using the same Panasonic-type Genius convection microwave, which only just died this year. I have grown up using the incredible array of functions and size of microwave. I am not sure if I could use anything less than 40 litres now! The 42L is great. We just unplugged our… Read more

normal old oven the other day, and I am using this for convection most of the time. Works great. I can't rave enough about it. I absolutely love this microwave convection oven.

Quick to heat food

Plenty of space for large containers of food

Sensor reheat, etc. - the standard Genius functions

Excellent and fast preheating for convection for roasting, etc.

A treat. Sometimes the power does go out with the kettle put on with the same 10Amp 4-plug extension. Spoke with my electrician - one can buy 15Amp 4-plug extension which will not do this. Not the fault of the microwave, which some other reviews seem to fault. Overall, I haven't really tried all the functions yet. I am not a big grilling person, so am not sure if it grills well. I have tried most other functions. I must say though - I did try a combination cyclle the other day, based on the cook book for a roast, but it was taking longer than expected, so put it back on convection, and it finished things off beautifully.

Terrible – The Power unit was burnt after 1 year of light use. Replaced for free because I still had 5 days in grantee. Worked for 4 months and was burnt again for the second time. This time was out of grantee. I had to get into an argument until the service manager accepted to replace it for free otherwise I would have to pay $ 140. Totally not… Read more

Terrible – the older version of panasonic microwave oven (National was a lot lot better, pity could not find the spare parts for the oven. easy to clean but NOT the ceramic plate. found it difficult to clean only 2 racks were given even though it was very expensive. for the price I paid, I expected more. you need especially round trays for it and can't find any for it's size. where is the drip tray???

Excellent – I have had mine for 3 1/2 years with the only problem being the light not working. it's not the bulb as it has flashed on now & then briefly. It's hard to see inside while cookin, without it. I had an older model for 14 years before this one & couldn't wait till i could afford a new one. They are very expensive but i have never looked back. The… Read more

convection oven seems very precise in temperature & its easy to make sure the oven is level. I do think it should come with extra trays. I'm lucky to still be able to use the round metal tray from the old oven. I find the combination cooking is very handy for baked meals especially roast, cooks in near half the time. I would prefer press buttons over the dials as they can be very sensitive to set. I did prefer the slide out convection shelves & grill tray in the old model, much like a normal oven, you could use just about 'any' dish or tray. I have got used to the round one though. It is also much easier to clean the interior than a normal convection oven. I love it & would be so lost without it. Looks good & the stainless & glass outside cleans easy. Very handy to have the extra convection oven. setting the time with the dial, you have to do it very slowly. The ceramic plate is harder to get clean that most microwave plates.

Terrible – After sales service is not good. Took to repairer with the above mentioned problem, got it back after three weeks and in less than 3 days, the problem recurred. Repairer claims to have replaced magnetron, but maybe it was not the genuine part. He did not even consider the possibility of 'shorting' in the transformer or in the magnetron. Anyway… Read more

totally disappointed. Will never buy a panasonic microwave again! Looks good, has stainless steel interior, combines several functions such as grill, convection etc. Yes, have the same problem of making a loud abnormal humming noise not all the time but sporadically. This makes it very unreliable.
