Very clear large screen, bright colors in very soft contrast and brightness – My picture preference is to leave all settings off, they are: Vivid Color, Eco Mode, P-NR, and Resolution Enhancer - while Over-scan is on and Pixel Orbital is Auto: and while Viewing mode is in True Cinema, Contrast and Brightness are at zero, Color and Sharpness are at 50. I believe the plasma screen will last longer when Brightness and Contrast are at zero and also the picture exactly mirrors the DVD or TV channel digital picture without the "make-up" smoothness of the Resolution Enhancer. If you can imagine the clear skin-look of make-up on a woman's face then the Resolution Enhancer disguises the spots and defects of the picture when it is off. If the picture looks a bit blurry that's because the video itself is blurry, not the plasma screen. I don't want to get rid of my DVD player yet because it's only 2 years old plus I still have two dozen DVD movies in the TV cabinet. With the component video cable connected from the DVD player to the AV1 socket of the plasma TV, the picture quality is very clear in True Cinema viewing mode while I was watching Star Trek:: First Contact:: reliable
