An Exceptional Projector By Far – I looked at lots of projectors. This Panasonic was way ahead of any brand and including it's 51 inch big brother. You don't need to sit far from this projector, the picture is that good, so it easily appears much bigger because you can get close. The brightness is  so good it's possible to watch easily in a fully lit room and in daylight shade.  The picture was not far off a plasma in quality. I can easily see individual sweat glands in a face close up, even on broadcast standard TV and it accepts HD.  I cant find a trace of the 625 broadcast lines, the picture is utterly smooth. There is  occasional "jagged" effect on soccer field markings etc, but it's really very minimal. Occasional pixillation on ultra rapid scene cuts, but this could well be my satellite provider and not the set as it is not often noticeable at all. Watching satellite channels of quality like National Geographic gives amazing fidelity and detail. The sound is great, quasi-surround and there is lots of oomph for kids to enjoy MTV. Setup is an absolute breeze and the remote simple, uncluttered and easy to use. It;s  a superb product and my only niggle is, as I have sensitive eyes, I wish I could turn  the brightness down a little more..now there's a pleasant complaint from a rear projection TV. Exceptionally bright.

Superb sharpness,sound and vibrant colour

Easy set up

Good – Panasonic is still the best Rear Projection TV on the market without a doubt. Of course these won't compare with plasmas but look at the price difference. For nearly 4K less, this is still by far the better option (at least until plasmas & LCD screens come down in price anyway) Probably the best screen available on any rear projection TV. Even better than Sony and Toshiba. I checked out every brand in three cities before buying this. The best for screen luminosity, viewing angles, contrast, PIP etc. Fast motion sports etc show no ghosting or blurriness unlike the low resolution plasma TVs and the LCD TVs There is a 100GHz resolution feature that doesn't appear to make anything better so I am at a loss to see why it is so heavily featured on the advertising for this TV. It may be than I am getting HD quality cable images (fibre optic) so maybe I can't really see the difference. Speaker system is mediocre but this is the case for all brands. This set was shipped around by us to 3 separate home locations and we ended up with some image misalignment issues after a particularly rough relocation on a trailer. This was however fixed by using the convergence adjustment and it was reset virtually back to normal (after some heart-thumping moments!).
