Panasonic Viera TH-P50V10A / TH-P65V10A

Good – On the whole - i researched before buying this TV and decided on it because of formal writeups and as a better value option. Have had TV mounted onto wall - using brackets that swivle / tilt. Strongly recommend this. Viera link works fantastic - when linked to panasonic PVR. More than adequate HDMI, AV, composite inputs. I bought all that cables that could be connected - placed them in the wall during the installation - even bought a universal cable toconnect the Wii, PS2, PS3 & Xbox so the kids dont have to play around plugging/unplugging from the side.
Now the buzz.
I observed this 'feature' and spoke with Panasonic.
They feel that the unit uses most energy when presenting a white screen - thus a buzz from the electronics that varies in pitch depending on the 'whiteness' of the screen.
Panasonic suggested that wall mounting in a room with wood floors contribute to this. Solution - muffle the noise. It was suggested I place noise suppressing tiles behind the TV to absord - not deflect - the noise. Panasonic assured me the buzz was not a symptom of a product about to fail or have a lesser life.
BTW - I recommend paying the ~$300 or so for an extended warranty. Sure TVs should last longer than that - sure consumer law may offer that to us - but the way I see it why have the hassle of arguing about who pays to repair a TV that's 3 or 4 yo? Great Images; colours are fantastic slight occassional buzz from electronics when screen is very light or white.
