Dont make them like they used to – I bought my first Viera in 2006. What I loved about it was the excellent sound quality (speakers were at the front) and excellent colour representation. Whites, blues, reds were all true to life, especially in comparison to our other TV, a Toshiba. It even had a feature to view another channel in a small window at the bottom of screen. So cool. … Read more
Unfortunately it was stolen and when shopping for a new one, I was floored by how the quality has gone down. Firstly it's an LED TV now, and whilst picture sharpness of studio productions and recent movies is acceptable (forget anything pre 2005), the dullness of colours is still disappointing. Blue skies in movies look dull and muddy.
Panasonic decided that what people want these days is really thin TV's at the expense of sound and picture quality, they must have done their consumer research with a bunch of burglars. Seriously the sound is so tinny I almost cried. Apparently all TV's are made in Thailand now and obviously with cheaper quality too. If you have an old Viera, treasure it, bolt it down, record the serial number, engrave your details on it, even install hidden camera's in your house because believe me its worth holding onto. Only giving it 3 stars because I get the impression all TV's today are of similar quality and I imagine the Viera is still considered one of the better one's for it's price. Picture quality of recent movies is acceptable. Will have to get a sound bar for it.
Excellent – I highly rate this panel, i don't have one myself yet but i was at my friends place and we watched a load of movies and xbox 360 on this TV, Panasonic have been around for nearly ever and the picture quality is so crystal clear, very vibrant and it doesn't hold out on the colors. The Pros with the Panasonic Viera are easy to navigate menu system,… Read more
smart remote control,I love the simple slik silver finish, the screen is very vibrant, when watching movies the objects almost look like they are about to come to life. There doesn't appear to be any cons what so ever
Excellent – Great TV that I don't regret getting at all. So happy with the picture quality and overall presentation of the tv. Nice and simple design and perfect size. I've never met a panasonic tv I don't like and that hasn't changed one bit! Clear picture, easy to navigate menus, lots of AV options, easy to setup HD tv channels, able to use analogue… Read more
channels too. Nothing really. Buttons on remote are a little bit stiff & range of remote is smaller than I expected (go too far to the side and it doesn't pick up the signal) but perhaps these are good features because it stops you from sitting around all day.
Good – Great unit. Easy to set up, excellent picture and good remote control. Having a built in digital receiver means that I only need to use my set top box when I want to record programs. I had planned to buy a 32" Sony but they were sold out so I bought a Panasonic. I'm glad did because it is a great TV. I like having both anolgue and a digital tuners… Read more
in the same TV. ut what I like most about the TV is the picture quality. In HD it can be almost like 3D. It was easy to set up and the remote is easy to use. As I have a Panasonic DVD player the TV remote controls it as well. About the only thing I don't like this TV is that when you change channels in digital mode you have to press the change channel button and then the OK button before the channel changes. Also the caption doesn't tell you what is showing on the channel until you press the OK button.
Good – I bought this few months now. I am really impressed with the quality of picture and sound system of inbuilt speaker system. I tried my laptop on it which is also came out very nice and enjoyable. Can play DIVX file without distortion of pixels. XBOX runs on it like fireball (fantastic). This TV has lot of features: TeleTEXT, Digital and also… Read more
Analogue tv watching options, very easy to mount it onto the wall (mine i did) and heaps lot I cannot even remember now. Overall if you are really thinking about buying this go for it without any doubt. But yes there is one thing - make sure you are using digital television cable or HD Tuner will not pickup any signal for some reason (happens to me). BEST Picture Quality HDTV Tuner
Excellent – this is a great panel that deserves much praise. Panasonic has done it again and produced a wonder of a Tv. This tv has the clearest and most colourful rich picture out of all the 32" LCDs. It is an excellent alround panel that has a nice silver finish that looks great compared to the glossy finishes. Tv, sports, DVDs, and gaming, it performs well… Read more
on all. Easy to use remote and an excellent after purchase consumer help from panasonic! The thickness of the panel.
Excellent – This is a great TV. We were told that watching sport wouldn't be great but I don't buy into that as hubby is a sports fanatic and still thinks that the picture is awesome! Worth the money although if you have young children I recommend mounting it to prevent any mishaps or put it on a very good TV cabinet! Great picture, quality, heaps of… Read more
features. I love being able to put my SD card straight into the TV it means I don't need all of those annoying cables. I also love that it has more than enough plugs in the back for anything you would desire to attach to the TV. ATM we have AUSTAR, stereo, DVD, Surround and TV connected and everything works through the remote because Panasonic thought to incoporate it all into one remote (as long as it's all panasonic). I love only needed two remotes instead of the four I used to have. The price although if you shop around or wait until the right time you will get like we did and it had $300 off!
