Selling us long life milk in the bottle? – I had been drinking this milk for a few years and recently the taste has changed. I had bought some long life Zymil on a recent trip and noticed the taste was the same. An experiment with the “regular” Zymil milk in the fridge seems to show that it is not going off well past the expiry. I’m not sure but either way the taste has changed for the worse and I will be changing brands. Show details

Something has gone seriously wrong – I have been drinking this milk for ten years. In the past six months it has started to taste a bit funny. The most recent batch has given me terrible stomach aches and the runs even though the expiry date says 2024. I’ll be switching to Aldi lactose free instead. Very disappointing

Milk becomes stale well before expairy date – I buy the 3lt Zymil milk from Coles Edmondson Park NSW store. Several times the milk becomes stale few days before expairy date. The attached picture is an example where the expairy is 19th Jan and on 14th morning the milk was stale. I am submitting the review on 15th Jan. It is a waste of money. Though I liked Zymil but I will move back to A2 milk. My fridge is ok and nothing happens to A2 3ltr milk I buy from Costco.

One day my wife seen Paul's Zymil long life milk and this was the best. Top drop – Cannot recommend Zymil full cream highly enough – more than happy to pay full retail but occasionally I see it at half price or less as it approaches the use by date and even then I’ve had up to a further 3 days out of it . . . Probably could’ve got more, but by then it’s all gone

Poor quality opening and poor ability to contact company – I purchased 1 lite long life zymil skim milk. The screw top broke off on opening. I tried to phone the number indicated on the box for Pauls and it was not connected I tried their website they have no complaints options! Only one litre of milk but if this was a serious issue I’m not sure how they would respond. Show details

Zymil full cream lactose free tastes like water – In the past year or two the quality of Zymil full cream milk has gone down while the price for one liter has gone up almost to $4 a liter. This is a rip off. Paul's company is so greedy that sell water for milk. I don't know where is the government , the Authorities and the AAA C to investigate this rip off. Who is checking and review the the… Read more

quality of this milk. I am asking everyone to stop buying this product and boycott the Paul's Zymil milk.

Strange reaction to Zymil 3lt full cream – We are dairy farmers, and I usually drink raw milk straight from our cows. However while staying with family we have been drinking processed milk. We’ve been here a bit over a month and twice my husband purchased Pauls Zymil full cream by mistake. Each time I’ve used it I’ve had severe gut pain, bloating, nausea, and passed enough gas to… Read more

generate power for a small town. I only have it in my coffee, probably no more than 200ml a day, but holy moly!

At first I thought it was something else. But then it happened again next time we had it. So I tested it, no milk at all for three days, 250ml Zymil over a day, and bam! Farty McFartblaster is back! The pain and nausea isn’t funny though.

No other processed milk except Rev has ever had this effect on me, and this is far worse than Rev.

The milk tasted fine. No complaints there. But a strange reaction to a milk that is supposed to prevent that kind of gut issue.

I give it 3 stars, because no-one else suffered and, as I said, the taste of the milk was ok for bought milk. Also my brother-in-law supplies Pauls and I can’t be too harsh on it.

Beware. Clearly this is perfect for some and the solution to their gut woes. But for others it is not. Maybe buy a smaller bottle than the 3 litres we got each time and try it before committing.

Zymil low fat in plastic bottle tastes like vomit – Zymil low fat milk in a 1 litre carton isn't too bad, but the 2 litre plastic bottle variety is absolutely foul. I can't believe they can actually market it as the same product. Show details

Vegetarians beware of ZYMIL CREAM! – Zymil creams contain gelatin, an animal product derived from bones, so vegetarians beware, certainly not suitable for vegetarians, check label before buying - beware, beware, beware,

Bad 1st time experience, never ever buying it again – Had to buy this product. Seriously doesn’t even feel like lactose free, having gas problem since afternoon. And not getting any better. Had a cup of coffe in the morning.

Something isn't right – Was forced to try Zymil since supply issues have left the much superior home brand lactose free milks impossible to find. It's like there is still lactose in there- severe gas pain in stomach and back, nausea, chest pain. It's actually worse than when I drink normal dairy! It also tastes strange compared to other milk and never seems to have a… Read more

long enough used by date to cover the "make sure it's got more than 2 weeks left" rule. Couple that with paying more for the pain and I'm ruling it out. Will be moving to Liddels UHT if the home brand ones aren't available soon.

It's going to taste sweet – Not lactose intolerant but I bought this as my local shop had run out of other milk over Christmas. It works by having added lactase, which pre-digests the lactose in the milk into glucose and galactose. Since glucose tastes sweeter than lactose, this milk will taste sweeter than normal milk. If you don't mind that, it's fine. Personally I didn't like the taste of this milk, but there's nothing sinister about it, as others have suggested. Show details

Something very wrong with this product – I'm annoyed that I actually have to give this product 1 star. I am lactose intolerant and this product states it is lactose free. 1 cup of coffee made with this, is enough to kick off coughing and toileting issues almost immediately. They resolve as soon I return to any other lactose free brand. Something is just not right with this product. I've… Read more

checked dates as suggested below and it has always been 10 days within use by date, so I don't think its that. Just the fact ppl are saying its souring within use by date, says there is something wrong here. Choose another brand if you need reliable Lactose Free.

Needs to be well within use by date – I use zymil milk regularly, but unfortunately I find if a carton has been opened a few days or I buy it close to use by date, it tastes off in my coffee. Therefore I need to buy one litre and make sure it is at least 2-3 weeks within use by date...Ive seen this elsewhere, so I dont think this is an isolated complaint. Its good if it is very fresh. If not, it's terrible.  Show details

I absolutely love this milk! – Due to the natural fermenting process, it tastes sweeter without any sugar added. What a bonus. I can’t go back to ordinary milk, my gut and tastebuds won’t allow it.  Show details

Too much water in the milk – I only bought Zymil until I switched to another lactose free milk brand and then noticed how much water Pauls add to their milk. Thumbs down to you Pauls, you are a looser not the customers. Show details

Perfect. Does taste sweet but that's because its lactose free – Love it. Its sweet because the sugars bound up in the lactose have been freed. Honestly - the complaint about it being sweet means they don't understand the lactose is the sugar bound up, so we can't taste it. It then gets changed by lactose in the body. But if you don't naturally have that enzyme you will get sick. So zymil has freed it up for you.

Th problem with zymil – Zymil has a bad taste if it is close to its useby date, so I purchase it at least 10 days ahead when it still tastes fresh. I am often disappointed with a bought coffee made on zymil that has that bad taste. Of course the barista making it, would have no idea that the zymil tasted off as it is still in date.
