Good – compared to traditional iron, this is so much better in terms of the ironing time. but I have purchased the lowest end of the GC pressurized series. I noticed the higher end of the GC pressurized series does address to some of the cons that I have pointed out. But GC6430 is much more affordable that a GC8460. Maybe this is my 1st steam iron which cuts my ironing time by half so I am giving it a 4 but if given the opportunity, I will purchase a GC8460. Cut my ironing time by more than half!
I used to take about 2 hours for about 4 shirts and a pant but I finished 7 shirts and a pant i just 45 minutes!
And the result is just as good. 1 full tub of water can only iron for about 5 shirts. But I guess this depends on individual.
When you need to refill, you will need to bring the entire unit together with the iron. So it does help if you just refill it with a bottle.
Need to be extremely careful when you refill. The instruction does ask you to wait for it to be cooled before opening up the cap to refill but who will really wait!?! I carefully unscrew the cap a little, let the steam out and then continue to unscrew the cap. When I pour in the first drop of water, some steam came out! Got a shock. This is my fault. I choose not to follow instruction to let it cool down.
The steam from the iron caused the metal parts underneath of the ironing board to be dripping wet. Just remember to place a rug right underneath the ironing board so that your floor/carpet will not be wet.
You can't tell from the water container how much water is left! A little frustrating when you over fill it since you can't tell the water level!
Excellent – overall after owning tefel irons for the past number of years i have been delighted to own this unit the amount of pressure is fantastic great if you iron linen makes ironing quicker as well as all diffrent fabric tempertures and settings i like the fact the water doesn't run out as quick as the tefel always needed refilling i can iron a large amount of clothes before needing to readd water i love my new system 5 stars` Love the fact is doesn't take 4hrs to do a whole weeks worth of ironing No water level so have no idea how much is in it when refilling
Great low cost steam iron – For someone who hates ironing I actually don't dread attacking the ironing mountain anymore. This steam iron has cut my ironing time in half and my arm feels less tired as the iron itself is very light. My mum has had heaps of problems with her very expensive De Longhi steam iron so I went for a 'cheap' steam iron and have been really happy with it and never had any problems. The only thing I would love it to have is a water level window so you can see how much water you have left. I would recommend this iron without hesitation as it's a great simple steam iron that does the job at a fraction of the price of other steam irons - also it's not massive so easy to store. Inexpensive, reliable and makes ironing a lot easier. No water level gauge/window.
