Philips charge cable – I have a Cool Skin HQ7780 which is approximately 3 years old. The outer cover on the charge cable has hardened and cracking away from the inner wires. I have contacted Philips however they are not at all interested. They have offered to provide a replacement cable ( does not include the shaver charge stand or the shaver) for $68.80 plus postage. I have informed them that I can purchase a new shaver for around that figure.
Philips class the cable as "consumable" and therefore not covered by warranty. I feel Consumer Affairs would not agree.
Maybe Philips will see this review and have a change of heart.
