outstanding Shaver – had this shaver for twenty years and never serviced it in any way other than the occasional clean. I have virtually used it every day in those years and the battery still lasts a week on just over an hour of charging! It still gives a excellent shave every time.

Very Ordinary – Poor performance, never had great performance from Philips shavers however this one is even less capable. So poor, I had an old Remington shaver repaired and use it in preference to this much newer Philips

We do have some tips, as we want to see if we can still provide you with the shaving experience you were hoping for. You could try using small circular rotary motions, so the blades could approach the hairs from all sides. Besides that it is important to not press to hard down on your skin, as instead of giving you a close shave all this does is disperse and flatten down the hairs on your skin. If the hairs are able to stand up straight, they’ll be much easier to catch for the blades. If this doesn’t help out, we would recommend getting in touch with our customer care through telephone. Hi, thank you for your advice but I was already doing everything you suggested. With my old Remington I can press as hard as I like, run it over my skin in any direction and it still cuts well, with this Philips I need to make multiple passes which still provides substandard results (missed hairs) and considerable skin irritation. I have no personal bias against Philips products but I find the range of shavers (one purchased by myself and two others gifted to me) from Philips have failed to perform to my satisfaction competing against the similar, but less expensive Reminton equivalent. I very much appreciate your offer to provide assistance but my opinion remains unchanged in regard to this product.

Shaver I can do without – Shaver stopped working just before 2 year warranty. It took about 4 weeks before I got it back. Now the same problem again and it is out of warranty. It's a shame it was a good quiet shaver when it worked. Would not recommend this shaver as it failed twice already and cost prohibative to fix. Good quiet shaver. Unreliable, keeps stopping.
miles better than my earlier shaver – Better shave than my earlier Remington razor, as well as much quieter than that. I was very impressed also with the '60 day test & return if unhappy'offer. It is a shame that the case doesn't have provision for the cord. The warning light gives enough notice of the battery running low to avoid interruptions. quiet, efficient long battery life nothing bad; would be good if case could hold the power lead.
