good value for inexpensive earphones – I was looking for earphones to replace my last Phillips set that hooked around back of neck. Being a runner, I needed a pair that wouldn't fall out of my ears, had good bass and was comfortable. Because I wasn't ready to make a decision on expensive sport earphones yet, these Phillips ear hook set fit the 'emergency purchase' bill for around $35, but I'm not happy with the fit and design. Will wait until these die before buying a Halo set or similar. Great sound for very reasonable price. Impressed with Phillips in general despite the cons of this model. Firstly, maybe a shaped earbud would have been more comfortable. Secondly, the cables get caught up resulting in a knot. I was used to a previous Phillips design that had only one cable to the left ear and the whole thing would fold up letting me wrap the cable around it as a bundle but this one has a cable to each ear and the hook design means more tangling opportunity. Didn't come with storage pouch or small velcro strap for tying.

Good – I use a these earphones with my iPod when I go jogging. The over-the-ear style means that they sit securely around your ears and there's no risk of them falling off. The sound quality is focussed on delivering strong bass. However, the high end is comprimised and the sound can be a little muddy as a result. For the price I paid, it is hard to find something as good value as these earphones. They fit securely around your ears, deliver good sound quality and are good value for money. Comfortable, Secure, Good Bass, Price Sound can be a bit muddy

Excellent – I would not hesitate to buy a dozen pairs of these. Phillips seem to make great earphones. My last pair were also great but kept falling out when I ran or put my crash helmet on. This model have an ear hanger which solves the problem for both runners and anyone having to wear under a helmet. Fantastic sound, great bass. These are the best earphones I have owned. Great for running and wearing inside a motorbike helmet. Terrific quality sound. I cannot fault them, after 12 months one earpiece no longer works after wearing them everyday. Looks like I will have to replace them. Shame Phillips don't make a noise cancelling version of these earphones, I would pay over $100 for them if they did.
