I am completely satisfied with this amplifier – It may not be the loudest amplifier in the world but the sound is very good (warm) and the unit is reliable! I have had this amp for about 8 years (maybe longer) and in the past five years, it has not been turned offf. I use it for my computer audio output, playing music and watching movies and tv shows. It really has a nice sound and plenty of oomph in the bass department if you want to listen to your music with a thump. There are five sets of stereo inputs including a phono input for turntables, so you're covered if you have an array of music players - CD, tuner, cassette, whatever. I just run my audio card outputs ito it and it sounds perfect.

I rarely turn it past 10 o'clock, which is like about 3 or 4 out of ten, because I'm mostly just listening to YouTube videos or watching TV shows. To be honest, the thing shouldn't be turned past 1 o'clock, because the sound just gets muddier from then on, not louder, but that might be my speakers not being able to handle it although at that level (1 o'clock) it is really quite loud. If I remember right, I paid about $350 at JB HIFI way back and at that price, I would fully recommend this amplifier to anyone who wants good affordable sound for their bedroom or loungeroom.

Sounds authentic – Our fancy surround sound receiver broke down just when we were doing up the kitchen so I decided to buy a simple stereo amplifer to save money. I'm glad I did. The now simplified stereo set-up (i.e. 2 speakers only) creates a more convincing sound-stage than the old 5 channel system it replaced and there is plenty of volume from the 40 watts rms amp. It's like I bought new speakers too because the sound is crisper and clearer than before. The amp has enough rca inputs to plug in the TV, DVD, CD player and a DAB radio (all of which I had already) and does a good job with them all. At less than $300 (on special at Harvey Normans) this rates as the best buy I made last year. Clear, solid sound with a convincing sound stage
