Don't do it! – Like others, I was really let down by the supposed quality of this steam mop. Shame on Big W for carrying such a piece of [censored word removed], although the price was attractive that's where it ends. Pads don't stick Takes 10 - 15 minutes to heat up and make steam Once steamed up, only lasts 15 minutes tops In one word - Garbage. Cheap… Read more

pads don't stick. Takes 10 - 15 minutes to heat up and make steam. Once steamed up, only lasts 15 minutes tops. Strong handle, boiler at floor level. Piranha customer care clueless / careless.

Not a very good steam mop – I purchased my Piranha 800W steam mop over a year ago for $49 from Big W. I found that the cord was only 5 meters long. I had to buy an extension cord to be able to use it in my living room. My Piranha 800w steam mop is frustrating to use because the floor cleaning cloths do not stick very well to the base of the unit. The tank is too small… Read more

and it takes too long to heat up.

This steam mop is also lacking a rubber bumper to protect peoples household furnishings. The telescopic handle, self standing design for storage Cord too short, takes too long to heat up.

My piranha steam mop failed a few days ago. It shorted out out my house power and this also destroyed my stereo. Complete rubbish!

2nd mop to trip the power and not work – It is horrible! I thought the first time I may have done something wrong but this is the 2nd mop now that has not even lasted 12 months and trips out the power. What a waste of any money! You are better off spending your money on a trusted brand for a little extra money! Convenient Power cord to short, pads not easy to clean, pads don't stick properly after a few uses, no water levelindicator

2 in 18mths – My Piranha steam has just died. This is the 2nd Piranha steam mop in 18mths. Will not be buying another one, but for the price really can't expect to much. When it worked it was OK on the tiled floor but did take awhile to heat up enough to clean. The first 1 shorted out the whole house and now this one has developed a burning smell when switched on. No water level indicator, Cord to short, slow to heat up

You get what you pay for – Purchased at Big W for $50, so very cheap compared to other brands. Takes a while to heat up, has a small water tank (only 250mls) and no swivel head. The pads are hard to get on perfect. But all in all, it does steam and clean. I would be annoyed if i had spent $100+ for these results but for $50 i cant complain. Had it for 2 yrs and it has just… Read more

died. Would i buy another? probably not. Cheap, comes with 2 washable floor pads Small water tank, short power cord, not powerful enough, hard to get into smaller spots.

Good value product that works – Pirahna products often get a bad wrap, but I'm happy with this purchase. It's simple to use, just put one of the two supplied cleaning pads on the bottom, pour in a cup of hot water, turn it on, wait a minute or so and start mopping. This is my first steam mop so I've nothing to compare it with, but it works well, so I recommend it. Price, effectiveness Lacks a water level indicator, power cord could be a bit longer Show reply
