1 Janaka  · Negative reviews for the agents are not displaying to the people. This is dishonesty at best. Misleading people.
1 Niko Ros  · 99% of the properties on this website are already sold. It is a glorified marketing website for real estate agents.
1 Hayley Gibson  · I have had nothing but horrible experience with both realestate . Com and 2 apply I WOULD not recommend
1 Jayden M.  · Realestate constantly displays houses in my search that do not fit the criteria. Not the "offers" or "contact agent" houses with a listed price above my filter.
5 Joanne  · Awesome Customer Service – Very pleasant and efficient to deal with. Answered all my questions and helped greatly.
1 Sherry Pan  · Very poor customer service – Very confused staff and poor working attitude. Just waste time to communicate.

Their agent review service is not to be trusted, basically a fake review site unsuitable for carrying out objective due diligence by future vendors. Realestate.com.au removed my factual, documented review of a real estate agent despite every claim being supported by written evidence including a formal written admission from the agency itself and… Read more

an active Office of Fair Trading complaint citing breaches of the Property Occupations Act 2014. The platform derives revenue from agents — not vendors — which explains why virtually every agent maintains a near perfect five star rating. Genuine vendor experiences are being suppressed and censored to protect paying agent subscribers. A platform that removes documented, evidence backed reviews from genuine vendors while allowing agents to curate their own reputation cannot be trusted as an independent source of agent reviews. Vendors researching agents on this platform should be aware that negative reviews are routinely removed. The five star ratings you are reading do not reflect the full picture.

Just saw a news article from them on a town to put on your watchlist advising how great the prices are and how great the community is there. A great place to buy. The town is Carisbrook Victoria. I lived next door in Maryborough and saw that town get flooded twice in the time I was there. You wouldn't buy there in a fit. Its flood prone and will… Read more

sure as day go under again. They know it too. To give advice to buy a house in a known flood zone is unconscionable and a scum act. In fact, in the early days before Maryborough was established properly the idea was that Maryborough would be where Carisbrook is today. A surveyor looked into it and was convinced that Maryborough should be established up over the rise past what is now Flagstaff between the two places as he was sure that the site which is now Carisbrook will regularly flood being situated right on Deep Creek a flood zone. He was 100% correct as it has flooded numerous times since it became Carisbrook. So this fact has been known for around 170 years and here we have this grub crew advising to buy there. This from the SES Victoria in my screenshot.

Real Esate dot Com place womens lives in danger – Real estate dot com are advertising my house without a contract. I spoke to [Name Removed] at Real estate ,com and he told me he would action this 10 days ago. I have called him and 2 other real estate do com customer service and they NEVER call back. for advertising it. I am very scared as so many people come to my houses every weekend but it's not for sale. If you lst your house for sale DO BOT use real estate dot com . I also read reviews where properties are advertised for years. Real estate dot com only are about the agent and not the home owner. it's MY HOUSE you are advertising, NOT the agents. Real estate dot com are dishonest and they do not care about DV victims or women's safety. They will place you in physical danger. I have dozens of people, sometimes 4 to a car come to my house as my address is on the website add. I was told they will NEVER remove my add and that only the agent can remove it. I do NOT have an agent, you Criminals ! I have reported REA to ASIC

REA Group – Inaccurate Estimate Damaging Sale of Property As a property owner, I am extremely disappointed with how Realestate.com.au’s estimate tool… Read more

has actively interfered with the sale of my family home. In December 2024, REA estimated our home at $1.525 million — consistent with local sales. A month later, in January 2025, this dropped to $1.2 million without any reason. This occurred after $150,000 in renovations and just months before we had a signed contract at $1.4 million. which we did not proceed to sell as the market on the Gold Coast and a property particularly with views and privacy is now highly sought after. I had written previously (eight times) to REA asking for the estimate to be removed or explained. All I’ve received are dismissive replies like “ your price estimate will be removed once you list the property” Their platform dominates the real estate space in Australia, and their “accurate data driven estimate” marketing is deceptive. Buyers reference this figure as fact, yet REA refuses to explain its algorithm or escalate legitimate vendor concerns. This is not just a technical glitch — it has cost our family financially and emotionally at a time when we I have now submitted formal complaints to the ACCC and OAIC. Vendors beware: REA’s system may work against you, and they offer no path for appeal or correction

Follow-up  · Absolutely no follow up from Real estate .com.au Real Estimate Estimate they arrogantly never acknowledged or answered the question . Rather they just gave lip service, deflected and ignored. The facts are, a true valuation is the land value plus the current cost of trades to rebuild the property, taking into account, all property attributes, views, renovations, privacy , security, road noise and any issues to be considered.

Follow-up  · Dear Karen, Your response is unsatisfactory and factually incorrect. Your assertion that realestate.com.au “cannot remove” an automated price estimate is demonstrably false. Domain, your direct competitor, removed the estimate for this property… Read more

Follow-up  · Real Estate .com.au is useless as an online real estate source .it's information is incorrect and try uploading ownership details to update your homes information..just find an honest agent over this app.

Not a review really, but a request to the website/app developers. Please can you add a filter option to show/hide "shared living" rentals. Looking for a rental that is not shared living, but sorting by price is unuseable.

Grateful thanks to Ashleigh and team from The Professionals in Yarra Junction. They listened to us and supported us in the marketing and recent sale of our Warburton property. Property Report data is not current and is irrelevant to the real estate market values. Buyers and sellers are frustrated with this MAJOR issue which is not addressed by this website. Domain is even worse! Why can't current market values be seen? Realestate.com.au needs to have current information if it is at all credible, now and into the future.

Their sold data is incorrect, as they list thr wrong selling agent for my home, providing promotion for them! They also suggest the house right next door to mine is somehow worth $40k more.

Very poor data base property information from personal experience of properties that I own. Incorrect information with land size , bedrooms , bathrooms, car spaces etc . Old data or they just make it up’ what a waste of time researching misleading information.

As an 85-year-old woman living alone, I found my house and garden too much to look after and decided to sell and move into a new ‘Independent Living’ facility where care was available if needed. Of the 3 agents I consulted to tender for the sale, Stewart Gordon of the Ray White Lower North Shore Group at Willoughby was the most perceptive and… Read more

considerate of both the specific characteristics of my house and my personal situation. He outlined his preferred strategy emphasising the strengths of the Ray White approach. Friends who had recently sold their Castlecrag house recommended Stewart and I appreciated his friendly and straightforward communication skills. Throughout the sales campaign, Stewart and his team lived up to both my expectations and their contract. Ray White proudly advertises that ‘We bring the whole team’ and they do! The benefit of advice and assistance from different specialists in preparing the property for the market and the team’s access to buyers and marketing skills resulted in my house having large numbers of viewers each time it was open for inspection. Stewart regularly phoned me after each inspection and held a weekly meeting to report on progress. As well, his Operations Manager maintained phone and email contact and sent a written report each week. The Lower North Shore team’s experienced procedure led to 3 parties showing serious interest in the house. I have no doubt that it was due to Stewart’s expertise in negotiation that the house was then sold prior to the Auction date for the best price achievable in uncertain market conditions. From my experience, I have every confidence in Stewart and his team and would have no hesitation in recommending them to my friends and family.

Realestate.com.au have my home listed on their website For Sale when it is NOT For Sale. Our agent refuses to take it down even though our Agreement has expired. I have notified Realestate.com.au that it is Not For Sale but they have not removed the ad. They said the agent has to do that. This is misleading, incorrect and false advertising.

Hey dumdums, you have one job: respect the filter options of the user. When I say I only want to look at houses, I ONLY WANT TO LOOK AT HOUSES. What I don't want is to have every third search result be an apartment. BECAUSE I'M LOOKING FOR A HOUSE. Do you honestly think this is a good user experience? It isn't. Another example: when I sort the… Read more

properties via price, I expect to see the cheapest properties listed first. Instead I get half of the results on each page flagrantly flouting the preference, showing me million dollar properties, and have to scroll down and try to figure out which ones are actually the properties I want to look at. What is wrong with you? It's a terrible user experience. I'm officially switching to domain. They can't possibly be as bad as this.

Realestate.com allow you to register for rental inspections via the website, however this does not actually register you. In a competitive rental market with few vacancies thisprevented me viewing a suitable property and therefore I could not apply. The agent from first national says this happens all the time. Really unethical.

A WEBSITE SUPPORTING POOR REALESTATE PRACTICES: The first issue is they dont have feedback for their website only on agents and companies. The next issue is they are allowing Realestate Agents to sell houses with pictures that have nothing to do with the home they are selling, yes they put a note at the bottom stating the photos do not represent… Read more

the home they are building but really this as close as false advertising as it gets. They show huge kitchens and spas in bathrooms but when you look at the plan it is obvious the pictures do not even come close to what they are selling. The problem is they are aiming these houses towards first home buyers that may be naïve with these practices. They also show properties no were near the actual location on the map. And they allow houses that are under offer or sold to still be for sale and advertised. As this industry self regulates (who's stupid idea was that) they get away with it. Other sites are just as bad but because i brought this to the attention of this site and they fobbed it off as it didn't matter I also dont like their morals and poor attitude towards fair trading.

REA does not provide an honest review system. Negative reviews are censored. I submitted a detailed, factual 1-star review of an agent, no offensive language, just my experience and REA rejected it again and again. Meanwhile, positive reviews flow through without issue. This is not consumer transparency. It’s reputation management that protects… Read more

agents, not sellers. The result? Consumers are misled, agents avoid accountability, and people like me are left out of pocket with no way to warn others. Open homes were poorly managed, settlement mishandled, communication was a mess — but REA won’t let you hear that side. If REA only shows glowing reviews, their star ratings are meaningless. I believe this suppression of negative reviews is misleading conduct under consumer law. I encourage anyone else affected to report REA to the ACCC and consumer watchdogs. This deserves media attention — buyers and sellers need truth, not censorship.

Their estimated price logic/algorithm has serious flaw. When i sent an email to question it, they replied me not to be rude. They dont deserve this attitude. So these are I found so far: The algorithm assumes that in the same building, for apartments that end with the same number must have the area size. Thus they are the same price. Turns out… Read more

there is no size area in their input for apartments. They only consider land area and building area. So 1 bedroom apartment is the same price as a studio apartment (half size of the unit size) since both of them have 1 bedroom, same building size and area size.

Will you trust the market analyst forecast based on their algorithm logic?

As a real estate agent, I’m surprise ASIC haven’t pounced. They just keep increasing their prices, provide poorer service, and maintain an unhealthy and aggressive hold on the advertising of real estate.

Property valuations are a joke. The vacant lot next door to me is valued at significantly more than my house. The website has used a photo of my house to value someone else's house as well. This website should be shut down as it is unethical and dangerous, as well as being generally uncontactable. Shame on whoever is running this farce.

Daylight robbery, RealEstate.com.au charged my real estate agent $3519 for advertising my 2 bedrooms ordinary unit for sale, they said this is the cheapest rate. Where in the world you would pay this much money for selling a simple apartment with few photos. I have the invoice. The people of Australia should rise against this unfair business. The same will be happening to you soon or later. This is one of the reasons for property price hike.

Price gouging monopoly at its finest. The prices charged on their website are beyond exorbitant & with the significsnt market share they already have... its only going to get worse. I cant imagine a review like this will get anything more than a generic copy & paste type response
