Ok – I have had this shaver for around three years or so. It has been ok but is now going downhill a bit and needs new blades. This is not a bad shaver but I am purchasing a new shaver tomorrow rather then fixing mine. This one is a bit of a pain to pull apart the blades for cleaning and although you can rinse the shaver head under water my shaver has still needed to be pulled apart pretty regularly (or else the shave quality gets pretty dodgy). It's also a fairly bulky item and due to having a fixed head it can be a bit cumbersome. Shaving wise it does a decent job (when fully clean and blades are not old) but I wouldn't say a fantastic job. It will get you to your workplace on a Monday morning without looking like a vagrant but if you are attending your wedding today or something I wouldn't recommend borrowing mine.

Good – overall very good value for money - it is quick and gives a reasonably good shave and battery life is reasonable too. it is much better than my phillips RQ 1095 which i bought for 3 times the price but delivers 1/4th the performance of this remington. good quick shave, good price a bit bulky and a sometimes irritates the skin

Good – This was the first electric shaver I received [from my darling wife]. She purchased it at rrp from Myer however I found the same unit [albeit ~10 months later] at Harris Skarfe for ~ 1/2 the price. I think this is a good shaver. smart looking. Easy to use. Easy to charge. Shaves well and doesn't leave me with bloody cuts. My guess is that it probably takes about the same time to shave for a better outcome than a 3 blade razor. a little hint - the shaving oils are a must to improve the quality of teh shave i.e. King of Shave & others.

Would I buy again? Maybe try a German razow i.e. Braun or Philips but these would be a a greater purchase price [~$300+] smart look; long shave time per charge; shaves well when clean. The service centre was very efficient when I ordered spares. Cost of replacement cutters - I found that when discounted at a large department store I could purchase the complete unit for less than the cost of the cutters.
