The Robert Timms Espresso Instant Coffee. Best out of all the Instant Coffees available on shelf. But it takes a little practice getting the amount of coffee right. It's strong as an espresso should be BUT I find that a teaspoon and a 1/4 does a small mug. Obviously a bit more for a larger mug. For a latte, I dissolve the coffee in boiling… Read more

water and add heated milk, otherwise it's straight up boiling water and a little cold milk. Great either way

Smells like real coffee and tastes pretty good. Much better than instant coffee – Great alternative to freshly brewed. Pity the bags don't compost in my garden compost bin. All tea bags (from different companies) are fine but these coffee bags just don't break down. Robert Timms - get your act together. Just use tea bag paper - problem solved. Show details

My favourite coffee. Can't live without it – Strong and satisfying with no bitter aftertaste. Much more affordable compared to its competitors. Show details

less than 1 start if possible – At Home, I use a plunger, but travelling I use coffee bags. I didn't think it would be an issue getting decent coffee here in Oz. But after three days of using these - I seriously doubt there is much coffee in them. One coffee bag, then all I taste is hot water. two coffee bags left for a minute - still only hot water. " coffee bags for 4 minutes… Read more

is a lttle better, but the water is now getting cold. Also, the bags continue to float, not matter the duration in the cup - that is never a good sign - lots of plastic in there. Tea makers in Europe have done away wity plastic tea bags - RT need to do the same. Won't be buying any more of this rubbish product

Great taste, but plastic product – Taste/caffeine boost great, BUT wrapper/infusion bag plastic, have written, emailed, phoned their company with my concerns but they pay no heed, therefore no more enviro damaging coffee bags for me.

Taste and Aroma – This certainly is one espresso coffee I'll recommend (for someone who used to prefer fresh grounds over a bottle, this a game changer); beautifully balanced without the after taste, spot on! The aroma, the minute hot water hits it, in the cup, like fresh gound espresso musk. Even in warm milk, full body flavor! It's a keeper in my travel bag for sure. Thank you.

Biodegradable coffee bags – Robert Timms would you please consider using biodegradable (compostable) coffee bags and labels - therefore they could be used on the garden or placed in the council green bin. My husband loves the Italian Expresso coffee from the coffee bag range Show details

weak as water – My workmates and I have used RT Coffee bags for at least 12 months. This year strength of brew has greatly diminished. The brew is weak and watery. Little flavour. We are disappointed and even with generous discounts at supermarket this year I am considering not buying them any more Show details

Coffee is Rubbish – I used to love the coffee bags Mocha Kenya. Bought them for 5 years. But since the company changed the style of boxes last year their coffee now tastes like dirt. I wrote to them about it to see if it was just a bad batch but got no response. I tried the bags twice more but they still taste like dirt so no more Robert Timms for me. So sad. People will pay more for a great product! When will they learn. Show details

Gold lid variety? – What happened to the gold lid variety with the delicate flavour? Can't find it in any store. It is the only one I buy. Don't even like the other RT varieties.

Change of packaging design reduced quality – I was a Robert Tims coffee bags user (Italian Espresso style). I do not get the same taste, smell and flavour i used to get from the original design. It may be cheaper to buy but it is a waste of money if one can not enjoy the coffee. Robert Tims, please consider producing the original design and the content. Show details

Package changed, coffee changed – Change of packaging & change to the coffee. Used to be strong coffee flavour, you could smell the coffee as soon as you took it out of the packaging, all over the office. Now bag is smaller, no flavour, Bland as. Used to be my go to coffee, now won't be buying it anymore. Nothing like it used t be. Confirmed this with other co-workers who are also buyers of this product, they said the same thing. You just killed off, what once was a good product. Show details

Robert Timms coffee bags made of plastic – It was shed by a candian experiment that a single tea bag can release almost 15 billion nanoparticles of plastic, targeting the digestive system of the consumer. Surely you have at least the morale right to protect your consumer when packaging your product. This amounted to a far greater amount than any food surveyed. Its time to take… Read more

Change of box for Mocha Kenya bags, taste and after effects – The taste of the Mocha Kenya coffee has been very enjoyable. Recently, after purchasing the Mocha Kenya coffee bags in the new packaged box, we found the flavour has changed to very weak and odd, there are also after effects. Within about ten minutes we both experienced a weak feeling after drinking a cup. It took about two weeks to work out it… Read more

was the coffee. We decided to open one of the bags and found bits that looked like barley or wheat husks. It was definitely not all coffee. If it is a cereal this would explain our tiredness as we are both gluten and wheat intolerant. Whatever it is, there is something not right with the coffee in these new packaged boxes. I still had one of the older boxes of Columbia Coffee bags without the new packaging and we began using this again and have not experienced any after effects with this. We have been drinking it for the past week. The coffee in the older packaging I would have rated about 4 star, whatever is in the new packaging is not worth buying again.

Coffee bags made of plastic – I won’t buy again, despite loving the taste of the Robert Timms coffee bags. I recently realised that the coffee bags are made of plastic. I’ve been adding the used bags to my worm farm for months, and today I removed about 100 coffee bags, which had not even begun to break down. If my worms won’t go near them, nor will I. Show details

Coffee bags have the taste & convenience – I've only recently become aware that coffee bags are available. An overnight motel stay introduced me to Robert Timms coffee bags, and I subsequently found them in most supermarkets. They come in 3 varieties that I am aware of; Mocha Kenya Style, Gold Colombia Style, and Italian Espresso Style. Each bag is individually enclosed in an air tight… Read more

Wonderful! The aroma of ground coffee when the sache is opened, the different flavours, and the convenience. What a great compromise between brewing ground coffee, and instant.

I am now spoilt, and will abandon all instant coffee and my coffee plunger for these Robert Timms coffee bags.

Great coffee for a really good price – I used to drink Moccona on the regular basis, it was a good brand of coffee but it was rather expensive and I decided to look for a cheaper alternative to the Moccona brand and found Robert Timms. I bought a 200 gram jar for $8 and was rather surprised as to how good the coffee tasted, I was expecting it to taste as bad as International Roast but… Read more

it was far better than that swill. My favourite Robert Timms coffee is the Espresso, its got a nice strong flavour that's robust and clean. I've been drinking Robert Timms coffee for the last 3 years and haven't bought a different brand of coffee since.

Amazing flavor – The flavour for an instant coffee is amazing. It gives you the best bitter after taste you'd expect. This not for the latte sippers or for ones Who seek mild aromas or milky concoctions. This is strong coffee - as meant to be. Show details

Coffee bags are made of plastic – I have been purchasing Robert Timms Espresso Style coffee bags for many years. I really enjoyed the flavour of a percolated coffee in a convenient tea bag. That was until last night when a visitor came around and complained about a plastic smell whilst I was making her a coffee. I could not smell anything and I explained to her that my kettle was… Read more

made from full stainless steel. After we investigated we found that the plastic smell came from the coffee bags in the cups full of hot water. I then grabbed a coffee bag and lit it on fire and it started to melt into a black blob. I could not believe that Robert Timms coffee bags are made with high proportion of plastic.

After doing some research I found that several tea bag and coffee bag manufacturers use a sealing plastic called polypropylene to keep the bags from falling apart. When you putt plastic tea or coffee bags into hot enough water it will begin to break down. When this happens, toxins are released into the brew. Research suggests that consistently drinking these toxins could cause health issues.

I am now on the look out for another brand of coffee that does not use plastic in their coffee bags

How can you even call it Premium Espresso?! – Awful taste, feels like it dries out your mouth and I spent half an hour trying to wash the taste out of my mouth. For a product called Premium Espresso, it is as bad as the cheap office supplied instant coffee.

Delete me see if I care – Still have the same opinion of Robert Timms Espresso coffee. Apparently if your comment does not concur with the marketing ideal then censorship is the deal. Best Coffee but – This is the best instant coffee I can buy in Western Australia since Mexican imports disappeared. However, there is a big but...... If you're like me and don't remember everything, on the next visit to the supermarket, I buy the wrong flavour! And I don't like what we call 'soft coffee'.

So - wake up Robert Timms. Espresso is the best available but help us buy it.
