This review is for Robert Timms Full-bodied granulated 500g tinned coffee: It's Reasonably strong coffee, unlike weak coffee we get from most other brands' budget line. It even has a hint of acidity to top it off. I'd say this is the best budget instant coffee I ever tried. Show details

I've purchased Robert Timms Expresso granulated coffee for years. For quite a while now I have noticed the taste of good quality flavour is missing. I always enjoyed opening a new bottle & smelling the fresh coffee aroma, but there is no such aroma these days & the taste has changed dramatically. The price has escalated to $12+ and the flavour has diminished. Not happy. Show details

Best Granulated Coffee ☕ – This is the best supermarket granulated coffee as voted by an article called choice. Next time IAM in the supermarket I'll be reaching for Robert Tim's.

The best coffee! – The best coffee I have ever tasted. You feel the aroma of the original coffee when you open the wrapper. It tastes very good,I have tried many types of coffee, and I did not find anything better than Robert Tims. It takes you to another world of splendor and taste. I have been using it for nine years and I do not want to replace it with… Read more

others,Yes, Robert Tims is amazing in taste,Sometimes hot water is not available to me, so I have to open the coffee bag and put a little in the mouth to enjoy its delicious taste,Whoever does not know this type, there are several types of strong, medium and normal. I love the strong type and when I drink it I feel euphoric and energetic and not a day goes by without using it three times a day. Try it and you will not regret it.

For fast instant coffee I really like Robert Timms full bodied coffee – I have tried both the full bodied and espresso. I use a full rounded teaspoon in a mug of the full bodied coffee and use milk. It hits the spot. Has a good flavour and for a fast instant coffee I love it. I have a cappuccino from my coffee machine when I have time so I know the difference. Plus there are less calories in the instant with milk… Read more

when I have had too many from the coffee machine. I have tried the other big brands but this is the best all round. The espresso is not as good but maybe ok just black as I found it a bit weak with milk.

Better than Nescafe Instant – This coffee is good, has a different and more palatable taste compared to anything made by Nescafe. A bit confused by the reviews that go into specifics about 'smell' and 'burnt taste' - its instant coffee, what did you expect?! If you want a good coffee, don't drink instant! However, I'm not surprised how out of tune people's tastebuds are considering that they only seem to ingest instant coffee

Insipid – Quite enjoyed the milder one, but bought the large jar on special. I varied the size of the spoonful, adding more sugar, adding coffee creamer, anything to improve this coffee, still insipid.I could not improve the taste, have given up. Won’t buy the full bodied again. Show details

My partner won't stop buying this and I don't know why – So obviously, some people like it (eg, my partner), however... To me, it has poor smell and after taste. As others have mentioned, it tastes somehow sour - I wonder if they use premature beans because it has an almost green taste to it and a weak sour aroma. It would make sense to be so cheap. I can't stand it. I would suggest trying a small… Read more

amount before buying the huge tin if you can. I'm so glad I've read other reviews and realised it's not just me tasting the sourness!

Not good – Okay after Nescafe ruined their blend 43 i have had to go searching for a new coffee, i heard good things about Robert Timms so decided to try it, lets just say it wont be my new coffee, i personally find it weak with a bitter taste and if i use more it makes the coffee stronger but also more bitter. Show details

Coffee? Nice, Quantity? Deceiving! – Having recently started to change my usual brand of coffee, I was delighted to find the Robert Timms Espresso coffee robust and nice! The only disappointment was, that it only seemed 3/4 full, I thought that it must have been a factory mistake, I purchased another 2 jars today and noticed that they too were only 3/4 full, so no mistake. Since the… Read more

plastic wrapping is dark brown in colour, it is impossible to see the quantity inside without taking off the wrapper! I now believe that is the way they package the jars normally, which seems deceiving to me! It makes the coffee jars look much better value than what it is. No doubt it stands out on the shelves being taller than most others, and good marketing practice, but not good for the customers. Not having checked the weight of the contents, I have no doubt that it does contain 200 grams as stated, but I believe that the manufacturers produce a jar that fits the contents! The coffee itself is great, and at $4 a bargain, (when on special, although at full price maybe not!) Save on glass and make the jars smaller!

We love this coffee – We love this coffee and have used it for years.. and disappointed at the price of your new freeze-dried one being too expensive. Please keep the granulated coffee going. It's really lovely when made as a milk cappuccino. Show details

Favourite instant coffee – This is a great start to each day when I don’t have time for a real coffee. I bring it with me when travelling as it is the closest thing to a real coffee and makes all othe instant coffees taste awe full in comparison. Show details

Good coffee for the money – For the money, this is really good. Need to use full measure for the full flavor.. I liked it. I've gone right off moccona. It's not what it used to be. Comparable to the popular coles organic freeze dried coffee. Show details

Terrible coffee! – I haven't had and bought this coffee since last year as I don't like it, however I had a cup recently and thought I'd give my review for those who are wondering. In my and some others opinions, it leaves an after taste that's not very nice, it's a classic case of you get what you pay for. When it comes to coffee, it's better to pay that bit extra if you want to really enjoy and saviour it. Show details

Lucky it was cheap! – $4 on special Woolworths. Smells vaguely like musty vegatables no coffee aroma. 3 teaspoons in a regular cup, light coffee flavour with a weird sour finnish, tastes like this isnt 100% coffee beans or mixed with some pretty low quality beans. Gives a decent caffeine hit at least i defiantly felt it. Overall Bleehhhh.... Show details

$4 Full-Bodied blah – Saw this on special at Woolworths and couldn't resist. Cracked it open to discover almost no aroma. Three teaspoons of granules made an insipid vending machine coffee - like dishwater. I upped the concentration to 5 teaspoons and the result was simply a sour cup of yuck. A co-worker often mocks cheap International Roast, which I don't mind, when I find it in motel cupboards, but this is just about the worst coffee I've sampled. Show details

Is this coffee? – I wanted to try other coffee other than what I am used to that is why when I saw the Full bodied RTimms coffee at Woolworth on sale I bought it. To my disappointing first cup that tasted flat and almost with a tinge of sourness don’ t think I’d like a second cup or any after this. I hope Woolworth will accept it back. Show details

Doesn't smell like coffee – Very unusual smell when in jar. Kind of like soil with some decaying vegetable matter mixed in. Fortunately it tastes better than it smells once you've actually made a cuppa with it! It's a decent enough instant coffee, an okay buy at half price. UPDATE: Now that jar has been opened a few times, the unusual smell has dissipated, leaving the remaining contents smelling pretty much like coffee!

Horrible flavour – Been using the standard green lid Robert Timms coffee and it was pretty good. Saw the full bodied version and decided to try it. So bad I'm thinking of tossing the nearly full bottle. Was on sale at Woolworths. All previous bottles from Coles.

SO disappointed! – We changed to Coles Robert Timms Full Bodied and Espresso some years ago because Nescafe 43 became too strong for our palette and the ALDI Nescafe was also not attractive in flavour. We have been very satisfied with this product until this past week when our new $8 bottle is truly horrible. The flavour is not full bodied. It tastes cheap. My… Read more

partner says it tastes as if the mixture has chicory in it. It is my habit to buy two bottles at a time. If the second bottle is this bad, we'll be seeking out another type of instant coffee.

Pleasantly surprised – I normally buy Nescafe in the large can but on that particular day Woolies had a can of Robert Timms on special so I thought I'd save myself eight dollars and go with the Robert Timms. I was expecting to be disappointed as I have tried other brands before but always preferred the Nescafe. I can honestly sat that I am now a Robert Timms fan. The… Read more

It's like civet coffee, only instead of roasting the beans they roasted the excrement – After they pick the beans from the faecal matter, I suspect robert timms coffee corp would have to come in and roast that organic matter and put it in their jars. It's the only explanation that I can come up with, why their coffee tastes the way it does. I can't say I've had civet coffee, but I can say with a great deal of confidence that I've had something that resembles the civet excrement namely in the form of robert timms coffee.

Bland and disappointing – I purchased this recently and bought it because it was the cheapest at Woolworths. I am sorry about this and will avoid it in future as it tastes bland and has no aroma at all. It was well packaged and I fell for it. Never again, stay away from this if you are a regular coffee drinker. price and packaging Tastes bland.

Excellent – Of all the economy priced coffees this one is the pick. Unlike many cheaper brands the drink does not appear weak to the tastebuds. The full bodied flavour allows you to taste the richness and smooth blend straight away. Whilst the packaging may not be as fancy as more expensive brands the size quantity makes up for any negatives. The value of… Read more
