Brilliant machine – The most reliable faithful laptop I've owned. I had a compaq and a toshiba which both died an early death but I've had this computer 3 years now and I use it every day and it has never failed me. I use the battery nearly every day and 3 years later its still almost as good as it was new still getting a solid 5 hours of heavy use. There are a few drawbacks though, after a few years the plastic vents got brittle and broke but it's nothing compared to my brothers hp where the whole case cracked after 2 months. Performance is above average if you look after it and It can do low end gaming and play 1080 videos without issues so yes I'm happy with this laptop.

Update: 4 years later I am still using this laptop. It runs hot on windows 10 but I also need to service it. The power socket on the laptop has broken for nearly a year now and It is extremely annoying having to wiggle the cord all the time for power but it still works. I've almost given up on it at this stage and am disappointed samsung laptops are hard to come by anymore because 4 years isn't a bad service life.

Best Bang for your $ – I purchased this laptop for my 9 year old daughter for Christmas 2011 from best buy for $379. What a great deal! I also purchased a HP DV7 laptop for my 13 yr old son that had the same AMD Processor with more bells and whistles from QVC for $799...hers is just as good...sure she dissent have The finger print reader...or Blue Ray drive...but hers can do everything his can. The AMD A6-3400M CPU

Is great...4 cores that increase power from 1.4 to 2.3 as needed. A great first computer that will last a while. Inexpensive
