Samsung DVD-SH853 / DVD-SH855

Good – i do like it, the tuner has a great picture, same with the dvd. the instruction manual is a little to large for the average user to learn just to make a dvd and finish it properly. so far so good if anything goes wrong i'll be back to comment. records and edits tv easily, epg is detailed, plays all dvds r4, looks great the instruction manual...too much

no volume conntrol for itself (will control a samsung tv's volume).

its a LARGE dvd player

channel changes are slow tedious using the up/down buttons.

takes 4 - 5 seconds to boot whilst making a few clunking sounds

it has a cooling fan inside that makes a constant sound(surely it doesn't have to be on to just watch tv?).

there is no av or menu button on the machine so if you lose the remote your unable to change settings or edit anything.
