Great quality Shots - especially Macro shots – This lens is amazing. I'm surprised at the quality of the photos from this camera despite the low price. (well compared to DSLR's anyways)This camera performs really well under low lighting and keeps the noise off even in dim lighting. You also find that it's less likely to blur as well in low like unlike other cameras. I'm happy to say despite the many dim light indoor parties I've taken this to I've hardly had to use the flash. The flash is also cute it pops up like an old manual camera which can also be annoying. I highly recommend this as a in between a compact and SLR camera. Great Lense, great macro, great low lights flash sometimes you forget to pop up. A bit chunky and the lens cap can get annoying

Excellent – Bought this camera instead of an entry level DSLR and have found it to be a great camera which takes some really good shots. Would recommend it to others looking to upgrade. So far havent needed to use the flash in low light and pictures have turned out really good which is bonus because I dont like taking photos of my baby with the flash on. Ammoled screen, excellent picture quality, continuous shooting mode, takes great pictures in low light without needing the flash. weight is a little heavy

This is an ideal small camera ! – I bought the EX1 to replace my Ricoh CX1 (which is a backup to my Pentax DSLR). The Ricoh's CMOS sensor and other attributes fared well on a recent holiday in Europe but the lack of manual settings let me down. The EX1 was a bargin at $340 from Harvey Norman. The lens range is very limited but the images to date are very good for a camera that fits in a coat pocket. Better alternative than a "Compact" camera. Lens cap is poorly thought out.
