OK – After seeing a friend with this phone I just had to have one but now I have one I'm a little disappointed. The first thing I had a problem with was the touch screen and I found that if I didn’t have the stylus then I was in trouble and I would find myself hitting the wrong thing over and over again. Also the stylus itself was very bad not only… Read more
did the end break off and I had to glue it back on but you also have to have it hanging on the side of the phone by a string as there is no slot for it in the phone. The next thing was the ringer which is way too quiet and I find myself missing a lot of calls every day and no matter what ringtone I use it’s just not loud enough.
Next on the list is the GPS, now it’s great that the phone has it but it’s no good without software and this phone does not come with any. After getting software I had all sorts of problems getting it to run right and find myself waiting 10 minutes for it to pick up a satellite. I do have to say the phone does look great and I love the 8gb storage as well as the WiFi which lets me link to my home router and use the net very easy. The phone has also been one of the best phones to use with a Bluetooth ear piece it was the most clear out of any phone I have used. Screen size, GPS, Nice 8gb storage, WiFi, USB. Ringer way to quiet, Poor touch screen, Not user friendly, Does not come with GPS software, Headphone volume poor, Very poor quality Camera for 5 mega pix.
OK – All in all it is a pretty good phone but it has some annoyances. The on-screen keyboard makes me want to smash my phone against a wall a dozen times per day and Windows Mobile 6.1 is NOT touch friendly. Seeing as this is a fully touch phone it should be. Honestly, if it had a slide out keypad I would be reasonably happy with this phone but as it… Read more
stands I will be switching back to Nokia pretty shortly. Since updating the firmware I haven't been able to connect to Windows Update which would be a problem if MS actually issued updates for this OS. Great specs. GPS, WiFi, 8 GB storage, USB, Bluetooth, HSDPA. Very customisable. Keyboard way too small. WiFi range not great and doesn't support Mac Filtering. No updates from Samsung.
OK – I was so excited to get my samsung omnia and now i wish i hadnt. although the phone is stylish and comes with some great features ie. bluetooth, wi-fi , radio station and good storage it is definetly not good for texting. the samsung omnia is very stylish, slimline design unlike some of the other bulkier models, screen size is nice and large and… Read more
very clear, good battery life, 8gb storage poor touch screen, terrible for texting quickly as the buttons are very small, if you lose the stylus you would have great difficulty using the phone, wi-fi signal is terrible and very slow
Terrible – Dont bother! This phone really isnt worth the trouble there are far better touch screen phones than this on the market now! It looks good. Large touch screen. I had trouble with it from the day I got it, it wouldnt charge unless the cord was bent a certain way, it would keep disconnecting and reconnecting when it was charged half way and made a… Read more
very irritating noise while it did it. When the battery is running low it shuts you out of making or recieving any calls.
Good – Over all it is a decent phone. Easy access to internet using home wireless network. I frequently use it as storage when I take it to my clients place. Stereo quality is not bad. Had this phone for about 6 months and happy about it. There are few cons but lots or pro's to it. Elegant Look, Touch Screen, Wifi, GPS, 8 GB storage space, USB,… Read more
Blue-tooth connectivity,GPRS/HSDPA, Many options available for setting Alarm. Word, Excel Notepad all comes with windows 6.1. Decent battery life. Not many options available to change your menu view and color, Poor camera quality when lighting is low. Screen not viewable when your are outside on a bright day. Sometimes sluggish but it could be because of the windows mobile. GPS does not work as default. I had to install port splitter before I get it working. When the port splitter is on battery drains very quick. Same port used for music and headset which means you can't charge your phone and listen to music (how mean)...
Excellent – Brilliant. What can I say... I thought my Sony k800 with its inherant software probs was a good phone... I did turn off automatic picture orientation though... When is a phone a PDA? When it's a Omnia. This phone is fantastic... It has features I may never use, but they are there if I need them. Looks great, tough despite its fragile looks, good… Read more
battery... use it as a radio all day while taking calls. Windows media player even works while the radio is on! I can't play music through external speakers while charging... but then again I could probably could...just haven't found out how
