Not compatible with GlobalSIM from Covermore – Think twice about using this flip phone with specialty SIM cards which comes with smart phone software. Constant restarting is a result of incompatible SIM. It should work as a feature phone on a normal SIM but check with your provider. Uses micro USB for charging which is convenient. Works on 3G and 2G network but not 4G.  Show details

This is the best easy use mob/phone that i have ever had, have had 10 mob/phones – My mob/phone is very mush a life line, for my self I like a flip phone, open to answer, close end call. No need recharge the the Samsung each night the battery will last 3 or four days and send and receive many SMS, day and night, and long 20 min calls. I give the Samsung s5511t 10 out of 10...I got it as a stand buy if I needed a… Read more

Best phone I've ever used – I've had this phone for 3 years and its fantastic, very uncomplicated and easy to use, easy to use for facebook, text messaging and taking photo's, I've used other touch phones and I hate them, my Samsung is the best, I wont use anything else, its small and compact, I give it 10/10

great uncomplicated phone – I found this phone to be very easy to use, gets good signal where others I have had do not, simple to send texts, good for alarms when I need one.takes good photos. I have stopped it going online to save credit, as it is a prepaid phone. best one I have owned

about average so far – I bought a the telstra pre paid samsung flip from from the Australia post shop and found the mobile phone be pretty good as I can lock just by closing it up though it's not waterproof though very little mobile phones are waterproof these days / I like the fact that is compact though so it fits in my pocket and is easy to use though sometimes it… Read more

rings for no reason / I would recommend the Samsung s115t mobile flip phone though only if it is a unlocked mobile phone that's not locked to any mobile phone network carrier

Ring length – I can't find anywhere to increase the ringing length on an incoming call. It rings out before I can get the phone out of my bag and open it. I do find it hard to open too. Not enough is explained in the user manual.it should have a tips area.

Basic but good – I only wanted a basic phone with good coverage, which it provided, but it must be the only phone that cannot take"selfies" , but must admit I would rather have the reliability of the phone line anyway, and is good for non- techno people like myself and I have an I pad for any other uses good coverage in semi rural area no "selfie" application

Good value in a budget phone – This phone is a flip type with a keypad reminiscent of the old Razr phones, costing $70-80. It is quite compact. It has most of the functions we look for now, including FM radio, music player, USB, memory card slot, voice recorder, calendar, calculator, alarms, bluetooth, email, web services, and it has a 3.2 MP camera with image editor, very… Read more ·  2

good in this price range.

It is certainly no smartphone, having an operating system of the old menu driven style, but if you mainly want to text and talk, with the occasional foray into more complicated stuff, consider this one.

Samsung produces this model for Telstra in Australia, so nearly all of them offered will be either locked to Telstra, or will have the Telstra software on board. This means you encounter Bigpond and Telstra on many menus.

You cannot change this as the phone cannot accept flash upgrade of the firmware, even though it does have a micro-USB socket.

Another irritation is that the secondary display on the front cannot be turned on to see the time by simply clicking the up/down buttons on the outside of the case. Good value in the price range, compact, good camera, nice keyboard. Firmware cannot be upgraded

Poor effort – This really is a poor effort. The interface is terrible, where it forever asks me to press something. Very little useful can be customised. The main menu isn't even visible on the initial screen; one has to press "Menu". What really irks me is the outside display. One would think it would be useful to show the time on it at the press of a… Read more

button. But no: One has to actually open the phone (which is tricky), then close it, when the time is then displayed on the outside. If you have opened the phone, you can check the time, you don't need it displayed when you then shut it. What would be useful it to be able to see the time without opening. But, as seems to be the design brief for this phone, usefulness was way down the priorities list. Very little Time isn't visible from the outside without first opening the phone. What the...? It's hard to open. The interface is woeful, with it forever asking me to press something--just get on with it! Outside display only display after the phone is first opened.

Great value for money – As a Telstra customer I had to have NextG compatible so this worked well. The manual is poorly worded. You can increase the font size on your messages via the volume key but only when you receive them, not when you send them. It has many good features FM radio,3.2mp camera,no flash though,MP3 with microSD card,Bluetooth & internet.Large keys for easy touch and great size display screen. Large keys and loud ring tones Difficulty opening it

Still Dissapointing – Previous review: These days one expects electronics to be reliable but this one from new has a problem of sometimes not connecting the calls through properly. When this happens there is no call log so the caller and his valuable business is lost for ever. I have taken it back to Telstra and now have to wait 6 to 10 weeks for repair. It is very… Read more

hard to open quickly.

Further to the prevuous review.

The phone came back still faulty.

They said that they had replaced the P.C.B.. This should have fixed the problem but it didn't.

The phone still misses calls and fails to record the failure. So that business is lost forever.

Is anyone else having the this problem? Is it fixable?

It's away being fixed again
